Sweet Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
WOW!!! I JUST made this, could not wait til it cooled and DUG in! My girls and I LOVE this recipe! It took a bit longer to bake but i think its because I used a large loaf pan....It is moist, just sweet enough and DELICIOUS! I used butter flavored shortening and 3.4? oz of the instant pudding mix and 3/4c of pecans. Also, I used 3/4 c of oats and 1c of flour...GREAT RECIPE!

Healthy Banana Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2011
These were very good. I did take the advise of other posters and added 1 ground up apple as apple sauce instead of oil 3c oats (1.5 of which I ground) 1/3 c of peanut butter a small handful of mini ahité chocolate chips 1/2 c brown sugar (made it just sweet enough) and 3/4 c pecans. baked as as bars same time and temp. But let em sit in the oven for a bit to cool off and finish hardening. Not bad for a healthier snack. Definitely a keeper! So versatile! I loved it They were soft n chewy

Annemarie's Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2011
I JUST made these! and they are delicious. The crust DOES taste like shortbread cookie but It works! Here are my add ins... For the CRUST: I added lemon zest of one lemon, 1 tsp of vanilla and a pinch of salt. Also, because the reviews cautioned about too much crust for the filling I did not use the eniter thing, instead I used the remainder as a topping (like crumb topping) Baked that for ONLY 15 minutes though. FILLING: I added 6 Tbsp. of lemon juice and lemon zest of one lemon (could have done two). added the filling to the crust and baked for an additional 20 minutes. AND because i read there was an issue with the filling not setting, after the 20 minutes bake time I turned off the oven left the door open and let it cool in the oven. Other than that it was a DELICIOUS bar : )

Followed the instructions exactly as written(with the exception of baking in mini loaf pans) and it was really good! Tastes homemade.

Breaded Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2011
This was great! I used chicken breast and added about a teaspoon each paprika, montreal steak seasoning and red pepper flakes to give it a little kick. Double coated and then baked at 350 until the thickest breast was no longer pink in the middle. THIS ONE'S A KEEPER!

Cheesy Potato Pancakes

These were awesome! I added no salt seasoning and chopped onion, omitted the salt and onion salt AND baked instead of fried and they were pretty tasty! Served with a dollop of sour cream.

Taqueria Style Tacos - Carne Asada

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2011
I really wanted to like this one! BUT It wasn't quite what i was expecting. It was TOO salty and tasted more like Chinese than Mexican. This one's NOT a keeper. An easier way and closer to authentic is just adding 3 Tbsp chili powder,1or 2 tsp of montreal steak seasoning, 3 garlic cloves finely chopped to about two or three fresh squeezed lime juice let it sit for a while as you let the meat brown (flank or whatever you use...i DO NOT recommend ground beef). then add it your skillet and let it simmer until the juices are soaked up or meat is fully cooked.

White Sauce for Pasta

Reviewed: May 17, 2011
AS IS, this is a 2 star recipe. BUT! to give it some flavor along with the flour, REAL butter and water I added 1/2 heavy cream and 1/2 milk. 1/2 c. Parm. cheese, garlic(i like to use a lot...here i used 4 cloves), 1 tsp. thyme, 1 tsp. rosemary, chicken bullion(1 tsp/cup of liquid), montreal steak seasoning and 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes(more or less for desired heat). I used this on whole wheat spiral pasta and grilled chicken with sauteed red peepers, carrots and zuccini (julienned). My kids LOVED this!

Great stuff!(made with suggestions in most popular rating) This cake didn't have a chance! It was gone in a matter of HOURS! (there are only four of us) It was so moist and flavorful. I added crushed and drained pineapple because carrot cake(to me) tastes best with pineapple tartness. SO GOOD! can't say it enough.....I'm making ANOTHER!!!! keeper? YES!!!

Granola Energy Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2012
WOW! I have to say, THESE ARE FANTASTIC! I used steel cut oats because it was what I had and because others warned about the sweetness, cut the honey to 3/4 c and used a cup of peanut butter. I did however, have a problem with them falling apart(due to decrease in honey and peanut butter?maybe?) but the TASTE IS UNREAL! Totally satisfied my sweet tooth :) Thank you for sharing your recipe! I loved it!

Crazy Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2012
Have made this cake for several friends and all love it! This is an amazing recipe, quick and easy! I absolutely give this 5 stars!!!! I do sometimes taste the vinegar but I think it's because I KNOW it's in there. P.S I also added about a tablespoon of instant coffee or sub cold coffee left over from the morning for the water. Compliments the cocoa. THANK YOU FOR SHARING !!!!!!

Buttermilk Pancakes I

Reviewed: May 17, 2011
These were great! i accidently added a TON of vanilla so they tasted like a cupcake...not a bad mistake! = ) and because i thought the sugar was too much i only added half the amount. The buttermilk makes these so light and fluffy! I love this!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2011
These were GREAT as is...BUT! i like to sneak in a little ground up oatmeal (instead of 3C flour i use 2C and 1C ground oatmeal that i grind in my blender) and maybe some flaxseed (don't tell my kids!) and i had a little vanilla bean paste on hand (a bit pricey, like $11 or if really lucky about $6 at discount stores like, of all places, Ross or Marshall's). I LOVE THESE COOKIES!!!
