Classic Waffles

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2015
This is the best recipe I've found so far. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could because it has room for improvement. I think that whipping the egg whites separately and folding them in at the end is a must. I also add a little cinnamon but that's just my personal preference.

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2012
I adore this recipe! Have made it quite a few times before and it never fails. This last time, I substituted 1/2c. mashed banana for half of the butter. I added cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, allspice, and ginger. I also threw in some pieces of date and chocolate chips instead of the rasins. I have gotten rave reviews. They taste absolutely incredible!!!!!!!!! Thank you Rob for this delicious recipe

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2012
not the best brownies to me! Their redeeming quality was the delicious fudgey topping which I altered according to other reviewers suggestions. Everyone who tried them agreed that they didn't taste bad, but they definitely were not great. I will continue my search for a delicious brownie recipe from scratch.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2011
I loved it!!!! I added some drained canned corn to the batter (just because I like it that way). I paired it with a white chili. It was fantastic. The guys I made it for had a serving of cornbread with their salad and again (2 servings this time) with the chili just because it was so good. I'm definitely holding on to this one! Thanks for sharing your wonderful recipe with us! :)

White Chili I

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2011
loved it! i paired it with the grandmother's buttermilk cornbread. I wanted to take a picture to post, but it was long gone before I had the chance. it was so delicious and a perfect combination. I added canned corn to both the bread and the chili which was needed (I think). As others have mentioned, the chili was a little bland, but it was nothing a few shakes of tapatillo couldn't fix! i also used fresh cilantro instead of dried. definitely enhanced the flavor! I topped it with a chedar monterey cheese mis, sour cream and chives. This will definitely be made again, hopefully soon. the words "epic meal" were actually muttered between huge bites by my boyfriend. hats off to you Dierdre! thank you for the recipe!!!

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2011
I loved it!!!!!! I added a little ground cumin, carrot strips, and red pepper flakes just to personalize it to fit my preferences. The recipe was easy to follow and simple to make! I'm definitely going to be making this again! my only problem with it is that I and the entire house will be smelling like curry for the next few days!

Everyone absolutely adored this cake!!!! I added some cut up banana and cinnamon to some of the peanut butter frosting and used it as a filling. It was absolutely incredible. I only made the recipe once but people are still raving about it 5 months later!
