About this Cook
I am a wife, mother to 4,grandmother to 1 and a cook for all of the above. My husband purchased me my first KitchenAid 6qt stand mixer less than 2 years ago and my love for baking just started to grow. Now I have 2 KitchenAid mixers and I find that my happy place is in the kitchen baking/cooking.
My favorite things to cook
Candies and confections. I recently made homemade marshmallows and now I'm constantly looking for a challenge.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Teaching my kids and nieces and nephews to cook. Soon my granddaughter will be old enough and she too will be in grandmas kitchen whipping something up.
My cooking triumphs
Divinity, marshmallows, homemade snickers bars, chocolate chip cheesecake...the lists goes on and on.
My cooking tragedies
Bread. I am still trying to figure out how to make fluffy bread like you purchase on a store shelf.

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits
Very good basic biscuit recipe. I stepped it up a notch to suit my families taste buds. I melted a few tbsp butter, stirred in some garlic salt and added 1 clove chopped garlic. After one puts their own personal tasty touch to it enjoy!

Saltine Toffee Cookies
I followed the recipe exactly being sure to let the dark brown sugar and butter boil untouched once mixed. I waited the 3 min, poured over crackers, popped into preheated oven for 6 min and finished up with choc chips and chopped pecans. WOW these were great! And addictive so beware lol.
