I am a Bay Area native, that misses fresh crab, sourdough bread and dry salami out here in the Midwest where meat and potatoes and velveeta cheese rule.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook from simple to complex. Easy, fresh pasta dishes to more complicated, time consuming fricassees, soups and stews. My family, thank goodness, loves food from diverse cultures and I enjoy making them. We love sushi, lasagna, stew, piccata, stir fry, frittatas, croque monsieur's, seared scallops, pesto and the list goes on and on.

Gig family dinners on Sunday. Everyone sits down to enjoy the meal and reflect on the past week.

Being able to instill in my four children the affinity to experiment with different tastes and textures in food. To not be afraid to try something new.
