Im normally a health nut and sloppy joes don't really fit into my normal rotation but I thought I would try it. This recipe was very good. Since there is only 2 adults and 1 toddler, we didn't need 12 servings. I scaled it down but it made the measurements crazy like 3/8 of a 8 oz can of tomato sauce. So I had to improvise and just add some of this and some of that. I didnt add tomato paste and used just tomato sauce instead. I added a squirt or two of yellow mustard as others recommended. It really helped. My husband doesn't like onions so I use onion powder and garlic powder since I didn't have garlic cloves. All in all, I am happy with the way dinner turned out. I served the meat mixture on whole wheat buns to make myself feel like I am trying to be healthy :)
