About this Cook
I'm originally from Germany but now I'm living in Rhode Island. I love German and southern food and I cook alot, usually everyday. I love spending time with crazy people, aka my friends and family. My dad is a chef, so in a way I'm following in his footsteps :)
My favorite things to cook
German, Southern-type, I love to baking anything, and I love using my slow cooker
My favorite family cooking traditions
My nanas potato salad (she was from Russia). The recipe is over 100 years old and it's the best potato salad I have ever had. My dad makes an amazing grilling sauce that I put on everything! He also makes an amazing chili that I love to mix in with mac-n-cheese.
My cooking triumphs
I've had many lol
My cooking tragedies
I messed up a grilled cheese not to long ago, HA! The boys gave me so much hell for it. But that's ok, we all make mistakes, even on simple things :)

Heather's Grilled Salmon
My husband absolutly loves when I make this! I like tossing a little white wine, anout half a lemons juice, and some rosemary into the maranade.

Grilled Rosemary Pork Chops
I used a bit more water than soy sauce and added about 1-1 1/2 shots of Jim Beam and it was a HUGE hit! Thanks for the recipe!

Cheesy Potato and Corn Chowder
I added some Italian cheese in it as well because I ran out of Mexican cheese. I made it last week on a chilly day, it was amazing!
