Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2010
This recipe turned out great! I'm glad I gave it a try even though I had to substitute a few items. No onion soup and no steak sauce - instead I used (2) garlic cloves crushed & chopped, (2) tbs Worcestershire sauce and approx. 1 tsp Italian Spices. For a throw together with what is on hand recipe it was surprisingly tasty. Enjoy!

Chicken Teriyaki - It's a Secret

Reviewed: May 25, 2007
I followed the suggestion for cayene & garlic (instead of powder I used minced). This was good, I'll let it marinate longer next time, didn't have time for more than 10 min. I don't think it had a Teriyaki flavor but it went great with the Thai rice that I made. Thanks for an easy recipe!

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2005
Ok, I used all butter as another person recommended and it was WAY better than the 1/2 butter 1/2 shortening version. The all butter batch held their shape better too. EVERYONE loved these (even the kids). Changes I made were pumpkin pie spice in place of spices and Golden Raisin's instead of regular.

Salmon Cakes II

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2004
I agree it was hard to keep them from coming apart. I used the crackers instead of bread so i'm not sure if that would have helped. All in all, the taste was excellent! I even impressed a very picky friend!

Awesome Bow Tie Pasta

Reviewed: May 23, 2003
All I can say is WOW! I followed the recipe exactly only I made 1/2 the pasta and about 3/4 the dressing & veggie mixture. It was PERFECT! I can't say enough good things about this recipe. I didn't even mind throwing it together after working out...and that is saying a lot. You should try this recipe!!

Carrots in Dill Butter

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2003
This was a great, easy recipe. I would be careful not to cook the carrots for the full 25 min. Mine came out VERY mushy. I like a little mine a little more firm (like steamed carrots). I'd try cooking for about 10-12 min.

Wow! This recipe was amazing! I improvised and used Jiffy extra crunchy peanut butter and I loved the taste. 1/2 the recipe was enough for me to have dinner last night and lunch today. I like how well this recipe works reheated. Will definately make this again!

Baked Corn I

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2002
This recipe came together beautifully! I loved the taste and so did my entire family. To avoid a strange green color in my corn I used yellow pepper instead of green. That substitution helped with the lack of heat most people commented on. Will be making this for many more occasions!

Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2002
I made this for our Christmas Eve dinner and it was very good. Didn't get as many compliments as I expected, I guess my very Southern family needed the marshmallows!

Potato Pancakes II

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2002
I am giving this a 4-star because the taste was awesome. I would give it a 2 1/2 star if it was based on ease. It was VERY hard to flip the pancakes after they browned. Mine pretty much came out broken in half, or in many pieces. I added fresh garlic & green onions. Went perfect with our barbeque chicken. Probably won't make again in pancake form, maybe casserole form would work better.

Way Easy Pizza Sauce/Bread Stick Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2002
I made this with breadsticks for a Halloween party. It was so good! I added a little extra garlic, and it turned out great. This was the 'blood' to dip your 'fingers' in. For the breadsticks I put almonds on the end before baking. Very YUMMY!

My husband didn't even eat half of his plate with this one. I thought it sounded good, but the final product needed some help big time. Either mushrooms, olives, something with some texture.

This was so much fun! I had everything in my pantry already, and it took like 10 minutes to make. My husband 'chowed' down while playing video games and half is already gone. Thanks Liz for a fun recipe.

Cornbread Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2002
This recipe was ok, not the best. I added onions and cumino to spice things up and I think if I hadn't then it would have been really bad. My husband hated the texture, so I doubt this is very kid friendly. Sorry to be a downer, but I was hoping for more.
