I'm currently in my graduating year at university. As a student, I'm always looking for quick, healthy dishes to make and often search good baking recipes for when I expect company. I'm a beginner cook but I'm definitely learning fast!

Spinach Pomegranate Salad
Great salad! I like to turn this into a full meal by adding grilled chicken. I don't like onions so I replace them with clementine slices, which makes the salad nice and sweet with the pomegranates. I also like to add candied walnuts/pecans instead. Fantastic!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
These cookies are delicious and easy to make. Some adjustments I made: - 4 teaspoons of vanilla extract for stronger vanilla flavour - Reduced salt to 3/4 of a teaspoon as they were slightly salty - No walnuts for allergy reasons - Used milk chocolate chips or reduced the amount of semisweet chocolate chips added as 1 cup made the cookies too sweet and overpowered the taste of the cookie - Let cookie cool for 10+ minutes. Will cause cookie to stay moist and chewier longer. Great recipe. Fun to play around with ingredients. Always a sellout at parties.

Absolutely the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
I'm made these cookies many times and they are fantastic. A few changes I have made: - I used regular vanilla extract but put in 3-4 teaspoons for a stronger vanilla taste - When I don't have shortening, I've used butter and margarine - both came out very good as well - I also followed MommyFromSeattle's tip about leaving the cookies on the baking sheet for 10+ minutes. The cookies were soft and moist for days. Amazing recipes. Easy to play around with ingredients (when experimenting or short on ingredients) without adversely affecting taste. A major plus!
