Creamy Frosting
After throwing together a box cake for a Valentine's day treat, i realized I'm out of powdered sugar! Ugh! Holy moly am I glad I did! This icing is fantastic. (I guess I should mention I'm a pastry graduate with lots of love for frostings!) I followed this recipe to a T with the help of the first review. I will say at first it was very grainy and I was worried, but just let her rip on the mixer and it's fluffy and perfect. I cooled the milk mixture till cool to the touch, used all butter that I softened in the microwave (hey we all use shortcuts!) and whipped the daylights out of it. Give it a go, it's def delish. Fluffy, sweet, melts quickly, no filmy residue in your mouth and is snow white.

Sweet and Sour Pork III
I've only made a few recipes twice, tonight will be the third. Super yummy. i flash fried my pork in a little oil just to skip some calories. I now only use cornstarch to fry with. Nice and crunchy. the sauce is bangin over rice and it is even good 3 days later.

Jamie's Minestrone
This is by far the best soup i've ever made. And the way it is written makes super yummy soup. I've now made this 4 times and have been changing it and having so much fun making it my own. I recently made it and added shrimp and cabbage. My other tip is to add 2 cans of tomato paste to the broth. it really made it nice and tomatoe-y! i also doubled the green beans, skipped the wine and kept the water! Have fun!!
