Cheeseburger Soup II

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2011
Easy and yummy- two of my favorites!! I made it in the slow cooker. I did change the proportions a bit, mostly because I did not want a lot of ingredients left over. I used 4 cups of hash browns, and 4 cups of chicken broth, and 16 oz of velveeta (can you even buy only 8 oz?) I also just added whatever sour cream I had- think it was about 1/2 cup. I really don't think you can go wrong with these ingredients. We ate it with sister schubert rolls and garnished with sharp cheddar cheese.

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2011
These are seriously the best brownies that I have ever had! I made them exactly as the recipe states, except I used whole wheat pastry flour for the flour (I didn't have plain four). Awesome!

Tater Tot Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2011
This was great, except I kind of changed a lot of stuff. I left out the worcestershire altogether, and I only added ketchup at the end- for dipping. I also added a package of frozen chopped broccoli- so that we could get our vegetables in. It was good. The broccoli really lended itself to the dish.

Beef and Irish Stout Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2011
This was good overall- just a little bland. I added some sugar (about a tablespoon or two) as another reviewer suggested. I also added quite a bit of Maggi seasoning sauce. THAT made it really yum. If you can't find Maggi at the grocery, you can get it on amazon. It's great for savory meat dishes like this! I used a whole can of tomato paste. Also, I served it over egg noodles- which was also really good.
