Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

This was a hit. Not too sweet at all. I doubled the topping recipe but only used about two thirds of it (just eyeballed to cover the top of the casserole). I bought sweet potatoes that were locally grown, not sure if that made any difference and I baked them instead of boiling (4 large potatoes took 1 and 1/2 hours on 375 degrees). I made the casserole the day before and stored it in the fridge overnight. Made the topping the next day and threw it in the oven for 30 minutes. Very easy to make.

Campbell's® Broccoli and Pasta Bianco

Did not like this recipe very much. I think it used too much milk. I also think it needed some spices, not a lot of flavor in it. I added some mushrooms and diced ham to make it a complete meal but that didn't really add to the flavors at all.

Garlic Chicken with Orzo Noodles

I gave it four stars instead of five because I altered the recipe a little since a lot of people said it was bland. For the orzo, I first browned it in 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Then I added two cups of chicken broth and let it simmer (covered) for 15 minutes. For the rest, I doubled the garlic and parsley and followed the cooking instructions as in the recipe. I also added 1/2 cup of grated parmesan and 1/2 lb of sauteed mushrooms the same time I added the spinach. Turned out very very good. I'm keeping this one around.

Creamy Mushroom-Garlic Chicken

Easy and delicious recipe. Great just the way it is. I throw in a little bit of pepper and fresh garlic. I also double the soup/milk because it goes great as a gravy over mashed potatoes. Definately a keeper.

Delicious Egg Salad for Sandwiches

Awesome recipe. This is the first egg salad I ever made and it was delicious. It's very simple and yummy as is. I will definately make this again and try adding some things that other reviewers suggested.

Almond Cookies I

Not what I expected. I used almond extract instead of amaretto and I did not like the flavor it added to the cookies. To me, it didn't taste like almonds at all.

Pumpkin Roll I

This was so good!! I don't make dessert often but wanted to try this for a Thanksgiving lunch at work. I think it's pretty hard to make for a first-timer. I'm sure it get's easier as you figure out what works and what doesn't. It still came out looking somewhat good though. I used foil instead of towels. I like that you can make it a couple of days ahead and not have to worry about it the day of the occasion.

Very good. I would have to agree with everyone else about the recipe being very salty. I also was not crazy about the bacon in the soup. It was a little soggy afte you put it in the soup. Besides that, very good. I had to you spinach because the store did not have any kale.

Incredibly Easy Chicken and Noodles

This was not bad, but it tasted like soup out of a can (if you don't mind that, you will probably really like this). There wasn't really anything fresh about it. I was disappointed.

Grilled Salmon I

Awesome simple/basic recipe for grilled salmon! Very flavorfull but not overpowering. The glaze made the salmon a little crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside. I don't think this would turn out as good if it was baked/broiled. I also don't think this would be as good with frozen salmon. Get fresh and grill it and you won't be disappointed!

Broiled Sweet and Tangy Tilapia

Not a keeper for me. I doubled the sauce like others suggested. It smelt amazing and I thought the sauce was very very good. The flavors did not soak into the fish though. All put together, it was bland. I took it for lunch with me the next day and it was even worse. The sauce lost all of it's taste.

Mushrooms with a Soy Sauce Glaze

Very good side dish. I doubled the recipe and had no problems at all. Since I don't eat steak, I had it with grilled salmon and they went together great. I usually just cook mushrooms in butter with onions so this was a very nice change. I think I'll add a little bit more soy sauce next time. I would also recommend using freshly minced garlic (I didn't and I could definately taste the difference). The only reason I gave it four stars though it b/c they weren't "Wow!". But very good though!

Grilled Chicken Cordon Bleu Sandwiches

Nice twist on a meal that otherwise takes a long time to prepare. Very easy and quick to make. I used Carving Board prepackaged deli chicken. Also made a side of broccoli soup and was full beyond belief after I was done with dinner.

Mushroom Omelet

This was definately something different for breakfast. Simple and satisfying. I used a lot more mushrooms than the recipe calls for. I don't think the suggested 1/2 cup would be enough, especially if you're a mushroom-lover like me.

BREAKSTONE'S Chicken and Sour Cream Enchiladas

This was GREAT! Because I don't like salsa, I just completely cut it from the recipe and it turned out delicious. I stuffed my enchiladas pretty full and only ended up with 5 but that was plenty for 2 people. A side of guacamole along with the lettuce and tomatoes and it was awesome!
