Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2012
Super yum. My husband loves these. I omitted 1/3 sugar and the glaze to make them less sweet. It was a definite hit with the family than my first batch. My first batch was exact according to recipe. Still very good just a touch too sweet

No Bake Pumpkin Pie I

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2012
Bring butter to room temp. Or micro butter only until thumbprint can be depressed into it. Do not soften too much or else cookies will spread and become flat. I chilled dough overnite but an hour would have been sufficient. Made recipe EXAcTLY the way it is written. I am making again today. May decrease sugar by a 1/3 due to sweetness in jam and glaze. GL! Fabulous taste!

Farro Salad with Asparagus and Parmesan

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2012
First time I've tried this grain is with this recipe. It sat in my cupboard forever...until today. Umm. I used exact ingredients from this list, but I roasted the veggies. Cooked grain according to package. Omitted walnuts and parsley. Everything else was perfect. Thanks for recipe.

Absolute Mexican Cornbread

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2012
Reduced butter to 3/4 c. Butter as other reviewers said to. Only added cayenne pepper as another reviewer stated. Not a good addition. Hot aftertaste for me and my family.

Butternut Squash Soup II

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2012
So yum. I scaled all ingredients down, except butter. Oops. But was still so tasty. I only had minced onion and carrots, did not use celery. Blended tarragon, and topped with croutons.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: May 27, 2012
Used 5 fresh boneless skinless chicken breasts. Put on high for 3 hours with 1/2 dinosaur brand bbq sauce and chicken broth. After 3 hours took out most of the sauce, shredded, and kept in some juice for the taste of the drippings, and poured out remainder of the bbq mixture. Set crock on low for additional hour. Lastly, turned crock on warm and let it "soak the juices up". Served with cole slaw Great for memorial day. Loved no fuss and spent time with family instead m To quote my husband, "I don't think there's a person out there that wouldn't like this". Defintely making again.

Aunt Edith's Baked Pancake

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2012
Did what another reviewer suggested, put a pat of butter in oven while it warmed to 400 degrees. Also used a 8x8 glass pan. Used regular pancake mix, which called for 1 egg, and 1 1/3 c. water, znd zdded tsp. pumpkin mix for sn sdded healthy benefit. Lastly added a few chocolate chips to make it more of a dessert. You can vary this recipe with whatever ingreients you have. Thanks!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew IV

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2011
My husband lovedddd it. Exactly followed. The "extra" prep work is well worth it. Tried another recipe that didn't have the little extra prep and he didn't like the taste at all. Sub'd beef broth for the water. Perfect!

Easy Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2011
Since I don't eat meat I become a little skeptical of the taste, but followed this exactly, with my own small addition of 1tbsp. worchestershire sauce on top before the sauce mix. My husband loved eating it while I loved how easy it was to make. This was EXTREMELY MOIST!!!!!

Used boneless chicken breast since that's all I had on hand, and was able to make this in under an hour. Was super tasty and so simple to make.

Italian Sausage, Peppers, and Onions

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2011
My husband loved this recipe. I followed it exactly. In place of fresh veggies, to save time and money, i used a medley of frozen peppers (of all colors) and onions. This is definitely a remake for me.

Baked Scallops

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2011
So awesome, cooked away from sides of dish per another reviewer, and broiled the top about 3 minutes after the 20 minute bake time, also per another reviewer. My husband and I loved this dish. Best way I've made scallops so far.

Awesome alternative to spaghetti. Felt so lightweidght to eat. I would bake an additional 10 minutes for a softer "noodle".
