I have made this a couple of times, one with a crust and one without. I did use Oreo's, sorry, but it was great.

Chicken in a Pot

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2010
OH, I LOVED THIS! I have never cooked with tomato paste because it gives my dad heart burn, so I was afraid that it would cause us to suffer, but no. This is so good and so easy. I added tomato puree since everyone said it needed more sauce. I served it over rice. The only bad thing I can say is that my husband dumped the sauce so none for left-overs. :( Made some really quick with the left-over ingredients I had and then there were no left-overs. :)

Roast Beef Burritos

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2010
This is an excellent recipe. My 14 yr old son wanted me to make this from the second he saw it. Since it called for precooked roast beef I went searching for a good Mexican style roast beef and I found Charley's Slow Cooker Mexican Style Meat (from this site) and I am really glad that I did. The two of these recipes work in perfect harmony with each other. I will make this again.

This is an excellent recipe. My 14 yr old son wanted Roast Beef Burritos (from this site) and it called for precooked roast beef, so I went searching for a good Mexican style roast beef and I found this recipe and I am really glad that I did. UPDATE: I have made this recipe a couple of times now and it is perfect as written. We made these as burritos without adding a thing (except for toppings).

Pizza Crust I

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2010
This is the best pizza crust I have ever made. I make it in my bread machine on the dough cycle. When it beeps, I add a couple of cloves of micro-planed garlic and a couple of pinches of Italian seasoning. The crust is crunchy on the outside, but very soft and fluffy on the inside. My Oven recently broke, but my kids love pizza, so I used my Rival Roaster Oven @ 425 for 20-25 Minutes. I always par bake my dough for about 8-10 Minutes first, then just bake the rest of the time allotted. I also warm some garlic in olive oil and Italian seasoning and brush it around the edge of the pizza.

Super Al's Cocktail Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2010
Excellent! I made this for a rescue because I needed it for fried fish and my husband could not find it in the store. I did not use fresh horseradish, (Beaver Bottled), light brown sugar, lemon from a bottle and Heinz Ketchup. I will never buy it from the store again.

Turkey and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2010
This was great! I did have to make a few changes SORRY! I had to omit cream of celery, onion and garlic powder. I then added broccoli cheese soup fresh garlic, two ribs of celery, minced and 1/2 package onion soup mix. Mix everything together, put a lid on it turn to low and simmer for 20 minutes. My oven broke so I have to improvise. Thanks for the great recipe.

Steakhouse Wheat Bread for the Bread Machine

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2010
This is the best bread I have ever made. I used AP flour and it came out perfect. It was kinda sticky while it was rising, but I just left it and it was great. It is the prettiest loaf I've ever made.

We all loved this. I served it with cinnamon whipped cream. So yummy and easy. We cooled it completely before we put it into the fridge. I ate one serving room temp and one cold...it doesn't matter which way you eat it, it is just plain yummy!

This is really yummy! It is really, really easy to make too. I sometimes make it spicy by adding an 8 ounce can of salsa.

Peppered Shrimp Alfredo

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2010
This is excellent! I made it for my brother and sil and they loved it. Sorry, I did change it a bit, but I could not bring myself to buy a jar of alfredo when I had everything for Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce in my fridge, so I made it instead.

1st Place White Bean Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2010
I made this for a Chili-cookoff at church and won. It is spicy, but very comforting at the same time. Make sure it suits your tastes, and really enjoy it. My family loves spice, so this is good for us. Oh, one caution, if you use canned jalapenos, it will be very, very spicy, using fresh peppers you can control the heat.

Brownie Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
These are excellent...my son made these for his final in baking class. (He got an A). He brought me home some to try and I am adding them to my Christmas cookie list. He did not add the egg wash or the walnuts (allergy) and they were excellent...I'm so proud!

Homesteader Cornbread

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2009
I love this cornbread recipe...I make it all the time. You don't have to do anything to it differently, just mix, combine and bake. I allow my cornmeal to soak while I mix the rest of the dry ingredients. I mix the eggs and oil into the milk and cornbread. Then combine the two bowls together, couldn't be easier. Love it, Love it , Love it!
