About this Cook
I use to be an Assistant Prep Chef for a University in Ohio. I also use to operate a baking business out of my home called "Sweet Temptations by Linda."
My favorite things to cook
Stir-frys, Chilli, Spagetti, Fish:baked, fried or simmered in a pan, and a variety of Chicken dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother use to prepare fried salmon patties, fried potatos and onions, and baked beans. This is one of my favorite meals that I use to prepare for my family as well. My husband and I are empty nesters now.
My cooking triumphs
I made a delicious Shepards pie once. It was so huge and beautiful, I didn't want to cut into it. The whole family loved it. It was very tasty!
My cooking tragedies
I made what could've been a great beef stew, but it stuck to the bottom of the pot. I put all wonderful ingredients into it...even red wine. Only to have it burn. Bummer!

Spinach Tomato Tortellini
I tried this recipe, but with a different twist. I usely cook from scratch. However, I was invited to a girlfriend's get-together and I didn't feel like preparing anything from scratch. I also didn't know what I was going to cook. So I checked my e-mail messages to see what "allrecipes. com had to offer. For time sake and being on a tight budget. I substituted the package of tortellini for a box of rotini shells, added two jars of Alfredo sauce instead of the milk and cream. Followed the rest of the recipe and it turned out great! It was a hit at the get-together. I give this recipe 5 stars.
