Fragrant Chicken Curry

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2011
I made this for my friend who loves Indian food and her Indian American husband. They both love it! Try to shop for the ingredients at an Indian grocery store if there is one near you. The Indian curry powder, coconut milk, and basmati rice are essentials. You can skip the mango chutney.

Shrimp and Asparagus

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2013
I made this for a potluck and it turned out really well! I didn't add the egg noodles, so it was only shrimp and asparagus. Most of the time I spent the first time cooking with regular shrimp is taking the black vines off and peeling the shell off. The second time I cooked it, I bought the EZ peel frozen shrimp from Safeway that was coincidentally on sale, so it saved a lot of time.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2012
Thanks for the delicious recipe! The banana bread came out moist and yummy. Make sure you have overripe bananas. I didn't have enough riped bananas so I had to use some regular bananas. It took longer trying to mash a good banana.

Wonderful recipe! The ingredients are so simple but it tastes so good! I found everything in my pantry already, instead of having to buy almond milk and other vegan ingredients.

California Roll Sushi

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2012
Thank you for the easy to follow instructions. My CA rolls look very pretty. After learning how to make this, I don't think I would want to buy CA rolls from restaurants anymore. The ingredients are so simple and easy to prepare. Most of the time is spent cooking the rice and cutting.

Thanks for the recipe! The sauces tasted really great with the spring rolls. Very simple and easy to make. Divining the shrimp is the hard part.

Southwestern Vegetarian Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2011
A simple spicy pasta dish for vegetarians and those who don't want to eat as much meat. I like how it has chick peas aka garbanzo beans. Look for garbanzo beans at the grocery store, because I couldn't find chick peas.

General Tsao's Chicken II

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2011
I think it tastes delicious even though I only deep fry once. It is just too much oil and sugar. Very delicious though so I will cook this once in a while. At least cooking it myself is healthier than Panda Express. Hahaha. All of my housemates really enjoyed it, so it's definitely a keeper. I recommend doubling the serving size to 12 if you're going to serve 6, because only chicken, broccoli, and rice is not enough. It tastes so good that people want seconds!

Chicken Encilantrada

Reviewed: May 23, 2011
Very delicious and easy to cook recipe! It's not too spicy, cause you can pick the spiciness level when you buy the can of green salsa. I picked medium spice.

Honey Walnut Shrimp

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2011
A really delicious dish! The directions were easy to follow. I used flour instead of mochiko, since I didn't have it. I wonder if there is a healthier version. It uses sugar, honey, and condensed milk... which kind of scare me thinking about the amount of sugar that adds up to.

Singapore Noodles

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2011
Great recipe! It was a bit too spicy, so you can reduce the red pepper flakes. I think 1/2 teaspoon is probably enough. I cooked this for a work potluck and everyone loved it. I made a vegan version though with no chicken and more soy sauce, instead of using oyster sauce.
