About this Cook
My goal is to improve my cooking skills so I can cook quickly and to be hospitable. I'm trying to cook at least bi-weekly.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy learning how to cook Chinese food. I use chicken and veggies as my ingredients often.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom's Chinese & Vietnamese food.
My cooking triumphs
1) Cooking the Fragrant Chicken Curry for my friend! She really liked it and people said it tasted really delicious. :-) 2) Baking cookies for the first time from scratch! My friends and co-workers really enjoyed the peanut butter cup cookies. 3) Cooking General Tsao's chicken for my housemates. They looked and tasted so good that one of my friends thought I bought it from Costco. Haha.
My cooking tragedies
Using Chinese noodles instead of the Pad Thai noodles, causing the Pad Thai to taste like Singaporean noodles. However, my housemates still liked it.

Vegan Chocolate Cake
Wonderful recipe! The ingredients are so simple but it tastes so good! I found everything in my pantry already, instead of having to buy almond milk and other vegan ingredients.

Lloyd's Healthy Chicken Zoopa
This is a great soup, but doesn't taste quite like the restaurant style chicken noodle soup.

California Roll Sushi
Thank you for the easy to follow instructions. My CA rolls look very pretty. After learning how to make this, I don't think I would want to buy CA rolls from restaurants anymore. The ingredients are so simple and easy to prepare. Most of the time is spent cooking the rice and cutting.
