The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2006
I made these as the recipe stated, but used powdered sugar to roll them out. We frosted them and they were perfect - just sweet enough without being sickly sweet. They were crispy on the edges and soft in the middle. They were loved by all.

Bourbon Pecan Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2005
My husband loves this! I made exactly as the recipie described, but did pound the chicken breasts a little to help them cook more evenly. Did have a little trouble getting the coating to stick - not sure if you really need the butter in it. Regardless, great flavor.

Cream Peas

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2005
These were excellent. I cooked slightly longer than the recipie called for just because my husband likes peas a little softer. Would have been fine either way.

Beef Stew IV

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2005
Delicious - the only change that I made was substituting frozen peas (that I previously cooked) for the corn. I also add extra potatoes, onions, and carrots based on what cooks like a good mix.

Swedish Cardamom Meatballs

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2005
This was way too sweet for me. All I could taste was the sugar. A lot of effort for a very O.K. outcome.

Caramel Crispy Treats II

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2005
Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, but this is a really common treat in Australia - they call it Mars Bar Slice. Instead of chocolate chips, using Cadbury milk chocolate bars is much better topping (nicer consistency and taste). I also prefer to serve these at room temperature so they aren't so hard. Very sweet, but like a giant candy bar.

Mushroom Stuffed Chicken Rollups

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2005
I love this recipie. I do pound the chicken to flatten (this is easier if you cut lengthwise half way through the chicken in the thickest part). However the recipie takes no time to make and is beautiful. The cream thickens nicely and compliments the stuffing without any additions.

Beef Florentine

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2005
My husband really liked this, but it was a little bland for me and I added extra spices to the sauce as someone else recommended. Next time I would just make regular lasagna and add spinach instead.

Proper English Cottage Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2002
My Australian boyfriend gave it a huge thumbs up! I thought the cinnamon sounded strange, but it was the missing ingredient that made it perfect.
