Kielbasa and Kidney Beans

Delicious. Husband loved it, and he's not big on sausage. I decided to use my dutch oven on the stove and browned the kielbasa (I used Hillshire Farms Turkey Kielbasa) in a little bacon grease just in case for some more flavor. I was so impressed I drove some over to a friend.

Cheesy Spinach Lasagna

Husband loved it. I had to substitute mozzarella for provolone, whipped cream cheese for half of the called-for amount, precooked bacon, and a 16-oz bag of x-wide egg noodles. It turned out very moist, full of flavor, and delicious. I have been looking for a recipe just like this and I highly suggest the substitution of cheeses.

Oaxacan Tacos

To answer to someone else's review, I don't know what the fuss isn't about! We absolutely love these tacos. We don't even use onions or jalapenos. Definitely use top sirloin and salt and pepper it when frying in the oil. After the tortillas are done make a taco with the steak, and handful of cilantro and a squeezed lime wedge. We have made these for family who would definitely tell us if they didn't like the recipe but they agreed it was wonderful. From the other reviews it seems people are trying to "Americanize" this recipe. Let it be and enjoy.

Buttermilk Fried Chicken with Gravy

thought I followed the directions but the chicken did not turn out as I desire fried chicken to taste. I believe it needs to be deep fried to really come out better. This was my third attempt at making fried chicken and from now on I will visit Hardee's or KFC if I want chicken! I just can't do it right :P

Chicken Cacciatore

I evenly substituted chicken broth for the red wine and used Wish Bone's Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing in place of the balsamic vinegar. I also chopped boneless, skinless chicken breast into one-inch pieces before sauteeing instead of using chicken pieces. One more thing, fresh mushrooms could have been better but all I had was canned. Otherwise, we could not imaging this dish being much better than it was. I served this to my lovingly analytical/critical husband over white rice and he gave it his, "you can make this anytime" review. I agreed.
