Basic British Scones

I also didn't have Cream of Tarter on hand so used baking powder. Used my pastry blender to work in the butter (don't use margarine) and it worked just fine. Definitely a keeper.

Pecan Pie

Excellent recipe! I used the brown sugar karo syrup since that was all I had on hand. Also chopped up the pecans to make it a little easier for the older folks to eat! Everyone said it was the best pecan pie they have ever had.

Maple Glazed Ribs

Since the temps were way to hot to BBQ outside, I put the ribs into a 9 x 13 pan, poured the sauce over the ribs, covered with foil and baked at 330 degrees for 2 hours. uncovered for baked for another 30 minutes. Absolutely the best sauce ever!

Corned Beef and Cabbage II

Excellent recipe. I will never boil corned beef again. Wrapping in foil and cooking it in the oven preserves all the good flavor.

Cranberry Sauce with Bourbon

This has always been one of my favorites. Sometimes I cut the sugar to 3 cups for a slightly tarter flavor. Also works with brandy if you're out of bourbon.

Pecan Pie

Definitely a keeper. I used light corn syrup only because I didn't have dark on hand and substituted brown sugar for the white sugar. Great recipe!!

Slow Cooker Sweet Potato Casserole

This is definitely a keeper! I also doubled the topping ingredients and used fresh yams. I'm going to try it with the canned sweet potatoes for Christmas. Everyone in the family raved about this recipe at Thanksgiving.

German Potato Casserole

An absolute keeper! I didn't peel my potatoes and had to use real bacon bits and bacon grease since someone in my house used all the bacon!! A wonderful recipe for any time of year.

Great BBQ sauce. Used it on the BBQ Country Style Ribs on this site (couldn't grill outside since it was pouring rain!). Now for some pulled pork sandwiches with the leftovers! Will be using this recipe many times over.

Baked Zucchini de Provence

Made this for Christmas Eve dinner and it was a definite hit. Great combination of flavors and so easy to make. Had a large group so assembled in a 9 x 13 pan. I ran out of Parmesan so added some shredded mozzarella cheese on the top.
