Corned Beef and Cabbage II

Excellent recipe. I will never boil corned beef again. Wrapping in foil and cooking it in the oven preserves all the good flavor.

Cranberry Sauce with Bourbon

This has always been one of my favorites. Sometimes I cut the sugar to 3 cups for a slightly tarter flavor. Also works with brandy if you're out of bourbon.

Pecan Pie

Definitely a keeper. I used light corn syrup only because I didn't have dark on hand and substituted brown sugar for the white sugar. Great recipe!!

Slow Cooker Sweet Potato Casserole

This is definitely a keeper! I also doubled the topping ingredients and used fresh yams. I'm going to try it with the canned sweet potatoes for Christmas. Everyone in the family raved about this recipe at Thanksgiving.

German Potato Casserole

An absolute keeper! I didn't peel my potatoes and had to use real bacon bits and bacon grease since someone in my house used all the bacon!! A wonderful recipe for any time of year.

Big Al's K.C. Bar-B-Q Sauce

Great BBQ sauce. Used it on the BBQ Country Style Ribs on this site (couldn't grill outside since it was pouring rain!). Now for some pulled pork sandwiches with the leftovers! Will be using this recipe many times over.

Baked Zucchini de Provence

Made this for Christmas Eve dinner and it was a definite hit. Great combination of flavors and so easy to make. Had a large group so assembled in a 9 x 13 pan. I ran out of Parmesan so added some shredded mozzarella cheese on the top.

Ten Clove Garlic Marinade

Used this marinade with chuck steak and the flavor was wonderful. The weather turned bad so we had to fry them inside, but I would love to try meat with this marinade on the BBQ.

Definitely a keeper! I didn't have quite enough heavy cream so I added a little sour cream. Came out light and fluffy. I used these with the Sausage Gravy III gravy recipe on this site.

Tomato Crouton Casserole

I just made basically the same dish before I saw this recipe. The only thing I did different was to use left-over Italian bread that had been grilled with garlic butter. I didn't want to throw away the bread because it had gotten a little hard so I cut it up into croutons. I used brown sugar.

Sassy Sausage and Black Bean Soup

Excellent recipe. I had some left over hot Italian sausage and wanted something to put over pasta. So I used all the ingredients except for the broth since I didn't want it that soupy for pasta. It was so good on a chilly rainy day!
