Quick Black Forest Cake

I tried this recipe on Christmas Eve (which was a risky little move!) but it fantastic. I didn't have almond extract so I added a tablespoon of vanilla extract instead. The batter seemed a little dry so I was particularly wary but it was fantastic. I baked the cake in a bundt pan and decorated it with cherries and whipped cream. I think I'll use the glaze recipe on other cakes too! Thanks!

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

This is a great dish. I made this last night to accompany a rotisserie chicken. Next time, I'll just stick with the risotto. I added extra cheese since I shredded too much [almost one cup]. To finish the dish and a bit of a high note, I added some fresh lime juice at the end [1/2 of a lime will be sufficient!] Superb recipe!

Fluffy Pancakes

This is my go-to recipe. It's fantastic. My own little variation generally includes a 1 tsp of vanilla which I add to the milk when I add the egg.
