Bacon Cheddar Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2007
For some reason, very dry and not much flavor, kept adding mayo/bacon/cheddar but didn't help flavor. Thanks anyway.

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2007
Had a nice orange taste but didn't gel properly and nobody ate it. Also would strain out seeds next time with cheesecloth.

Armadillo Eggs

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2007
I'm not sure what I did wrong, but these were extremely dry and salty, and not a success at the potluck.

Ceviche Self-Portrait

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2007
Made this for work and everyone loved it!! Too spicy and tart to eat the night I made it, but by the next day all the flavors had blended and mellowed perfectly. Perfect recipe!

Autumn Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2005
This was sooooooo good! Everyone in my office loved it. It was pretty easy, too. The cheesecake part was only about one inch thick, though, so if you like higher cheesecakes you may want to double that part. Thanks!!

Slow Cooker Beef Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2004
Unfortunately, this turned pretty mushy and bland by the time it cooked all day. I used frozen stew vegetables instead of the canned. Not a big hit...thanks anyway.

Turkey Tetrazzini I

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2004
This was a great idea for leftover turkey from Thanksgiving. I added about a cup more milk, some leftover cooked broccoli, and doubled the cheese amounts, and had a delicious, filling meal that even the kids loved. Thanks!

Chocolate Cheesecake II

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2004
I made this for a luncheon at work and got rave reviews! The cheesecake has a wonderful chocolate mousse taste, and tastes like it's from a gourmet restaurant. With the chocolate icing topping, the few cracks that appeared as it cooled were covered up and the cake looked as wonderful as it tasted. Took a little while to prepare, but well worth it.

Rhubarb and Strawberry Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2003
Simply delicious!! Just the right amount of sweet and tart. The pie itself looks great, with the shiny golden crust on top. I precooked the rhubarb before adding to strawberries as someone here suggested, and the pie was fantastic!! Thanks!

Angel Hair Pasta with Garlic Shrimp and Broccoli

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2003
Wow!! Loaded with delicious garlic flavor, and cooks very quickly, once all needed ingredients are assembled (make sure you note that you need 3 cloves of garlic TWICE). Definitely a dish to impress, the only problem with it is that the sauce set up and became gluey as soon as it was removed from the stove, so either I did something wrong or else everything must simply be eaten immediately. Still tasted wonderful!!!

Neptune's Favorite Crab Bisque

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2003
I made this bisque using canned crabmeat, salad shrimp, and some canned clams. I also used half the amount of wine in the recipe. WOW!! It is a fabulous rich-tasting soup, like something from a fine seafood restaurant but so easy!! Tastes even better the nex day. Everyone loved it. Thanks!!!

All American Apple Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2003
This pie was absolutely wonderful!! Much better than a supermarket bakery or frozen pie, and the crust was superb. I, too, decreased the sugar added to the apples, sprinkled the topping with sugar and cinnamon, and allowed it to bake about 20 minutes longer than the recipe called for. The taste was great!! Will be using this recipe over and over...

Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2003
This was very easy, and the meat was moist and cooked to perfection. I was a little disappointed in how bland the taste was, since the barbeque sauce seemed too watered down by the meat's juices, next time will unwrap the ribs after baking and add additional sauce and broil a few minutes to get a real bbq taste. Altogether, though, a foolproof way to get ribs cooked just right!

Best Ever Shrimp Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2003
I've made this dip twice now, once leaving the shrimp whole, the second time pureeing the shrimp, but each time the dip has no shrimp flavor and merely tastes like mayonnaise and has watery consistency. Thanks anyway!

Chicago Dip

I made this for a party using a rye bread bowl and it was devoured! The next day it tasted even better, so I will probably make it at least one day ahead next time. It looks great too!! (Onions were a bit too strong, will cut back next time).

I made this recipe for a New Year's party using Schwan's Italian meatballs and it was a major hit! So incredibly easy. Tastes even better the next day. I can't wait to make it again.
