About this Cook
I've mastered some basic meals in the kitchen and love finding new staples to add to our dinner menus. I have come to love cooking and baking and spending my time preparing delicious things!
My favorite things to cook
Dinners, because I think they are such a bountiful staple. I love being able to 'put good food on the table.'
My favorite family cooking traditions
Mom mom's lasagna at Christmas, potato casserole and cheese and broccoli casserole at family gatherings and spinach dip with pumpernickel bread at parties!
My cooking triumphs
Making pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving and chocolate cake for Christmas and having everyone swoon over it. It was the first time I ever brought food for the holidays as a young adult. So rewarding!
My cooking tragedies
Making 'potato gnocchi' when I was a REAL beginner. Let's just say after three hours and giant gooping lobs of mush in a pot I was crying my eyes out. Luckily, my S.O. was there to comfort me and to tell me I'll get it next time and that there is always pizza! :)

Sarah's Applesauce
Oh. My. DELICIOUS!!! Another reviewer said she couldn't understand why she ever bought jarred applesauce from the store and I am thinking the exact same thing. I went apple picking and came back with more than I knew what to do with so I decided to try this recipe. I finished my first batch about an hour ago. I smelled it through the house first- amazing. Than I tasted it- unbelievable! I shoved my used saucepan in the sink, pulled out a bigger one and my next (doubled) batch is on the stove right now. I made mine with Courtland apples and followed the recipe to a T. Wonderful recipe! This will be a staple every autumn, and a treat year round! Thanks!

Too Much Chocolate Cake
I made this for Christmas and it was a huuuggeee hit. It is so moist and chocolatey. Make sure you have plenty of milk on hand. Great, great recipe!
