Ham and Potato Casserole

Reviewed: May 6, 2012
I followed the recipe fairly closely except for the cream of mushroom soup, which I had to make from scratch instead of using the condensed from a can, and the mushrooms which should have been fresh, but I had to use a can of mushrooms. The recipe states to use 5 potatoes without mentioning what size, and one onion without saying large onion or small. If I had used large potatoes then the casserole would never have fit into the baking dish. The recipe would be easier to follow if the size of the potatoes had been given. Overall, the flavor was very good, but next time I will pre-cook the potatoes as they were still very crunchy even after more than an hour of baking. Other than that, I don't think I would make any changes.

Almost Eggless Egg Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2008
This recipe is amazing! I didn't have tumeric, parsley, dill weed, or celery so I used garlic powder and basil instead and it still turned out great. It almost tastes like 'real' egg salad. This is one recipe I will be making quite often.

Tofu Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2008
This was surprisingly good. I used soft tofu for a smoother texture. But I made the mistake of adding extra chocolate chips because a couple of people said it wasn't sweet enough. What I wound up with was a frosting like texture that was extremely chocolaty and a little too sweet. I wish I had followed the recipe instead of adding the extra chocolate. But it was still very good the way I made it and even my roommate enjoyed it.

Easy Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2008
I thought this was really good. The only changes I made were seasoning the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Also, I didn't cut the chicken up because I knew it would be falling apart after it was cooked. It had a really good flavor and both my roommate and I loved it.

Reviewed: May 3, 2008
I basically followed the recipe except that I used ground beef and I layered the Lasagna in the slow cooker. It came out great!!

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2008
After reading the other reviews, I did what others did and put potatoes and carrots on the bottom of the slow cooker. I also stuffed the chicken with onions and garlic. I also added a can of chicken broth which I probably did not need to do since I wound up having to take some of the broth out of the slow cooker. I got enough chicken broth out to use for the stuffing and the rice that I was cooking to go with the chicken. After only 6 hours, I turned the slow cooker down to warm and the chicken still fell apart when we took it out. Still, it was very flavorful and very moist. I will definitely be cooking it again.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2008
I followed the recipe exactly the first time and it seemed to have too much onion. The second time I only used half of an onion and added salt and pepper. It came out perfect! I have been craving homemade chicken and dumplings and this recipe was exactly what I wanted. It tasted almost as good as the chicken and dumplings that my mom used to make. I will definitely be making this recipe again and again!
