About this Cook
I took an interest in cooking when I was about 10yrs old & cooked my first Roast Beef at the age of 12. I enjoyed cooking so much I went on to be a cook in restaurants for a few years. My career has now changed, but I still cook frequently. My goal to own my own restaurant still lives. I also own a baking business where I specialize in personalized cakes and dessert's for any occasion.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking your comfort foods, exotic foods, and basically anything from any country.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Most family gathering's that involve cooking are hosted at my house, or I'm cooking at my mom's. I love hosting dinner's that include appetizer's, main entree, multiple side dish's, dessert platter's, and all the decor.
My cooking triumphs
My cooking triumphs are when the people I'm cooking for leave the table happy and full:)
My cooking tragedies
One cooking tragedies that comes to mind is when I made Yorkshire pudding. After reading the recipe I questioned the amount of salt that was being called for. Instead of trusting my intuition I had the saltiest Yorkshire pudding ever!Since then I'm a very light salt user.

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II
This was a big hit when I made it for friends and family. I also used sour cream instead of mayonnaise to make it a little less greasy. I mixed the mozzarella cheese into the mixture and topped with some shredded Asiago cheese. Instead of putting the dip into one baking dish I used mini pie tins so everyone had there own individual dish. I lightly buttered some pita bread and then fried them gently until golden brown and crisp. I cut the pita into triangle wedges and placed onto a serving platter and watched it all disappear! Everyone will be asking you for this recipe :)

Half Time Hoisin Chicken Wings
Excellent dish! I loved how all the flavors came together. I used 2lbs of drumsticks & 2lbs of chicken thighs (skin removed) and there was more then enough sauce. If using drumsticks & thigh's use a baking sheet a little deeper, to collect the juice run off. Make sure you brush the sauce over chicken every 15min like the recipe calls for and it will caramelize perfectly! I also used pureed ginger instead of fresh & it also gave great flavour. This recipe would also work good on the BBQ. This is a keeper!

Kevin's Sausage Dip
I made this recipe last night with my family. I found the taste to be a little bland and the dip was a little watery. Could be that I didn't serve it right away. I would definitely make it again, but I would add some cheddar cheese & some sauteed peppers & onions, I think this would add a lot to the flavour. This is a good basic recipe, a few modifications & it could be great!
