Armenian Shish Kabob

Reviewed: May 29, 2014
My first attempt at Lamb Shish Kabobs....it was Awesome ! We raise lamb and sell meats, so I am trying different recipes to recommend to our customers. This is wonderful and easy. I omitted the wine since I didn't have any. Cooked this up for a tasting gathering and all enjoyed. Make sure you have good lamb, preferably from the farmer who raised it. Check out your local farm markets. Makes a difference. And we appreciate your support.

Pork Chops for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2013
Making this for the 3rd time today. My son said I should make this every week. You know it's good if your kids like it. Only change was to add honey and omit salt. For those that said the chops were dry....2 ideas.....Did you slow cook them ? Low and slow = fall apart tender. Also, want a good quality pork chop, you get what you pay for. We raise hogs on our farm. Have found it best to buy meats from the farmer / farm markets or reputable butcher. It's amazing the difference in flavor and quality.

Garlic and Herb Lamb

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2012
This was quick and easy and very good. I'm not a dill fan, but tried it anyways. Real glad I did, loved it ! I grilled chops and made this as a rub. Did add a dash of cayenne to this rub. We raise and sell lamb and I'm trying out new recipes, this is a keeper.

Leg of Lamb

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2012
This is by far the best leg of lamb I've had, outstanding. I thought it used too much mustard, so I went a little light on it. Could have used it all. I have told many people about this recipe. We raise and sell lamb at markets and this recipe is a keeper. I think this would work well on pork loin too. I followed the advise of another review and added garlic in the leg and some extra herbs, not too much, just enough.

Stuffed Mexican Peppers

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2011
This was great ! Even if you don't like peppers, you'll enjoy this meal, eat the filling or add it to tortillas. Very flavorful. I doubled the recipe but shorted myself on tomato sauce. Added salsa and a little water, was great. Only one pepper left that was gone later that night.

Filipino Beef Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2011
This was a tasty meal. I did not have oyster sauce or cornstarch, but I improvised. Used flour instead of cornstarch and sprinkled in a few honey roasted nuts to give more flavor. Used the veges I had on hand and we ate great. Best part was I didn't have to go to the grocery.

Roasted Garlic Teriyaki Fried Rice with Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2011
We thought this was a delicious meal. Follow the advise from the other reviews. Alittle more teriyak needed, I added ginger, fresh garlic ( I didn't have garlic teriyaki, just teriyaki, actually didn't know of the other) and red pepper flakes. Turned out great, alittle sweetness from the teriyaki and alittle spice from the red pepper flakes, YUM !! Oh yeah, also added frozen peas when chicken was cooking, added great flavor. Rice should be cold, in a hurry, spread on a cookie sheet and put in fridge while cooking meal.

Turkey Noodle Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
A good recipe to start with and add your own twist too. Like others said you will need to atleast double the chix stock to cook all the noodles. I didn't have any lemon pepper but spiced it up with poultry seasoning and garlic, salt and pepper. Also had alittle homemade turkey gravy and stirred that in. I added broccoli and peas as my vege, I think the sweetness of peas compliments this dish. Seemed to need alittle more flavor so I added some good shredded swiss to the mix, yum! I think anyone could make this and tweak it to what they have on hand. Another suggestion, whether you add cheese or not, make this alittle soupy, put in casserole and top with stuffing, stove top in a box would do just fine. Put in oven for 20 mins. and enjoy. I may try it that way next time.

Turkey Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
Great soup recipe. Don't be afraid to add some spices like others suggested. I also added more chix and turkey stock, may have added too many noodles, but my kids loved that. I cooked my noodles seperate from the soup then added them. My sister was making chix soup and did it that way and the soup was better than mom's. That does'nt happen very often, our mom is a great cook. Will make again, try it.
