About this Cook
I am 26 years old, born and raised in Michigan. My mother stopped cooking all together when I was 12, so I was left to cook for my 3 little brothers with only the know how to make tuna noodle and spaghetti. I like art, crafts, and house projects. I am recently married and work in with fresh produce. Update: I now have a little baby boy named Sam, born Jan 2012. I foster cats until they are adopted as a stay at home mom! We have 4 cats and help foster felines until the find their new forever home!!
My favorite things to cook
I like to make anything from pot roast to zucchini bread. I love learning new things and trying out new seasonings. My favorite things to cook are breakfast meals, eggs and pancakes. As well, I enjoy anything potato and grilling up some juicy steaks. Dessert is a new thing for me and I like experimenting with new an altered recipes
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Thanksgiving and Christmas my family has a secret recipe that has only been passed down to me. We call it Pumpkin Delight and it is absolutely one of the best desserts on the planet. Thanksgivings are always Turkey and homemade stuffing and Christmas is Prime Rib and Mashed Potatoes...mmmm..mmm..
My cooking triumphs
I make a mean Oven Roast and a killer Banana Zucchini Cake. I have been grilling chicken at the age of 12 and can barbecue some of the best of the best.
My cooking tragedies
A few days ago I tried making a Kiwi Cheesecake. Everything was perfect until after it set....it tasted like kerosene and was not edible. I guess kiwi juice can't be saved.

Herb Rubbed Sirloin Tip Roast
Great seasoning! I would like to add a little bit of brown sugar, just to sweeten it a bit, and I used fresh chopped garlic instead of g. powder, amazing. I added vegetables to the mix and the flavor of the veggies. I could eat them all day if I had the chance. I let the meat stand at room temp while marinating before cooking it. It turned out perfect. Great recipe.
