My wife lost in interest in cooking much after cooking for the kids for 20 years, so I've taken on a lot of the responsibility. I'm adventarous when it comes to cooking and I'm wanting to shake it up a bit.
My favorite things to cook
Country fried steak (with venison or beef)drippings gravy and mashed potatos. Creme Brulee, any baking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
June Allisons noodle casserole (from my mom) and scratch hot fudge sauce for ice cream.
My cooking triumphs
I made a 7 layer cake years ago, that cost a fortune in ingredients, was very difficult but came out quite nicely. Although not nice enough to do it again.
My cooking tragedies
too many to list, but that's part of it isn't it. I have a tendency to use too much salt sometimes.
