Whole Wheat Honey Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2011
Great! I don't have a bread machine so I just mix it all in a bowl and let it rise for 1 - 2 hours. I have made this several times and like to add all kind of other stuff such as oatmeal, cornmeal, flax seed meal, chia seeds, and wheat germ. I also add a half teaspoon of baking powder and/or vital wheat gluten to get it to rise properly. Great base recipe to add to!

Classic Minestrone

I didn't have a leek so I used an onion and also used chicken broth instead of veg. Thought it had a nice fresh taste. Simple recipe... I liked it!

Chicken Pesto a la Lisa

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
Very tasty! Added sliced fresh mushrooms and artichoke hearts as I had them on hand and needed to use them. Used fresh roma tomatoes as I didn't have sun dried on hand. Definitely make this one again!

It was ok. I love cream of cauliflower soup but was trying to avoid the high fat and calories. This recipe did that but I sure missed the fat and calories : )

Corn and Zucchini Melody

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2005
Suprised that such a simple recipe was so good. I used Canadian bacon and olive oil instead of bacon to cut back on fat. Also used roasted garlic for a more mellow garlic taste.

Average at best. Just seemed like it was missing something, but I can't figure out what. We still ate it, but dumped the left overs.

Quite good. We did not eat it until the next day, but even reheated in the microwave it was still tender, moist and quite flavorful.

Brooklyn Girl's Penne Arrabiata

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2005
Very good...simple sauce with strong garlic flavor, which is what we like. We served ours with regular speghetti as it was what we had on hand. Also we were out of basil, but it was still quite good without it. Will definately be making this one again.

Quick and Easy 20-Minute Chicken Posole

This may not be authentic, but it sure is good! Even my 2 year old ate this up. Only changes I made were to use a cooked chicken and added a can of diced tomatoes with diced green chili's. Topped with shredded monteray jack. Yummy!

Very good recipe! We grilled the flank steak first then diced it and pan fried it, spritzing with a little extra lime jiuce and some garlic salt at the end. It was delicious!
