Byrdhouse Spicy Chicken and Peaches

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2009
I didn't use as much orange juice and nutmeg as the recipe called for. After I made the "sauce" I put it with thighs and breasts in the crockpot for 4 hours on high. At the end, I took off some juice and mixed it with corn starch to thicken it up. This was REALLY good. Not as overwhelming flavors as I expected.

Crunchy Romaine Toss

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
After making this recipe for the 4th time for my family and for guests, I figured I better review this for everyone else to know just how awesome this recipe is. The dressing is perfect! However, the first time I did the noodles, I burnt them. Second time, I crushed them in the bag before opening it, made it much easier to saute them.

Awesome Steak Marinade

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
We had been given some cheaper New York Strips and dreaded grilling them. So, I tried this marinade on them and let them sit for about 4 hours. WOW!!! This marinade could make the worst steak taste the best. It made them very tender and juicy, no steak sauce required while eating these!

My family was beside themselves over this one. Smoked provolone was our cheese of choice.

Sweet and Sour Kielbasa

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
This recipe was delicious! I had to use regular sugar and molasses since I was out of brown sugar, but it all worked out just the same! Highly recommended recipe for a twist on Kielbasa.

Greek-Style Green Beans

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
This was a good twist on plain green beans. My family wasn't crazy about the tomato in it, but I liked it and they just picked through it.

Grecian Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
It was hard to determine what was too tart and too sweet without over-adding any particular ingredient. It turned out pretty good in the end.

Very yummy and easy! I left out the whipped cream because I had none, but this was perfect with apples as a compliment to a pasta salad. 5 stars!!

Jagerschnitzel

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2006
This was great! I made it with pork tenderloins, still breaded and fried them then baked them in the oven for 30 minutes or so. Made the gravy with the flour and bread crumb mixture instead of cornstarch mixture. Also added real bacon bits to the bread crumb mixture. I poured the gravy over the pork tenderloins for the last 5 minutes in the oven. Although I tweaked the recipe just a bit, it was still fantastic!! Went great with German Potato Salad and boiled cabbage.

German Potato Salad

Very easy to make and a great compliment to any dish. I sauteed celery with the onions instead of using celery seed because my husband doesn't like that seasoning. Whole family loved it!

Snow Flakes

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2001
Great taste, texture and easy for my first time using a cookie press. The only mistake I made was chilling the dough and it wouldn't come out of the press until it was back at room temp. So good, even I couldn't mess them up!

This recipe generated over 5 dozen cookies!!! Great with a chocolate chip planted in the middle. My kids can't get enough of them and they helped make them too!
