Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2012
Wow, this was good! My husband loved it, too - we both had two plates! I enjoyed mine over mashed potatoes, and it was delicious. I was running behind today and actually cooked mine on high for 4 hours, and I think it turned out just fine. And, yes, it's salty, but we like salty. Bravo!

Yum! I left out the mushrooms (don't like them). Very good, just like Mom used to make.

Pita Chips

Store-bought would definitely be easier (and maybe cheaper), but what's the fun in that? These are very tasty - perfect for dipping - and all your friends will be impressed!

Not my favorite banana pudding dish. May try it again to see if the next batch turns out better.

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2011
Great recipe. Just made it for my Bunco group, and they loved it. I did make a few alterations based on previous reviewers: - I used Campbell's Fiesta Nacho Cheese soup instead of cream of mushroom - I used corn tortillas instead of flour tortillas - I poached the chicken, shredded it, and seasoned it with Mrs. Dash Fiesta Lime seasoning. I served it with homemade Spanish rice and margaritas, and it was a hit! Enjoy!

Rich and Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2011
Very good! I had tomato basil soup for the first time at a nationally known hotel dining room and thought I should try to make it myself. This recipe tastes exactly like the hotel's "gourmet" soup.

Polish Meat and Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2011
Turned out great the first time, kinda soggy the second time. I may try cooking the kielbasa separately as I cook the onions and potatoes rather than cooking them together for another full 15 minutes. Still, glad I found this recipe - quick, easy, hearty meal.

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2011
Flavorful chili, but HOT! I only used 1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper and it was still spicy. I needed some sour cream and a milk chaser, but I'm sure my husband will love it!

Excellent! I made my first pot pie with this recipe trying to use up leftover turkey from Thanksgiving. My husband is a pot pie aficionado and he gave this a thumbs up!

Spanish Rice II

Every bit as good as the rice you get in a Mexican restaurant. I used my own peppers and tomatoes from my garden, which added a nice touch, I think. Yummy!!
