Lemon Mushroom Herb Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2012
This was good but the basil taste was very strong and overpowering the next day. Adjust to your tastes.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2012
We have made this at least 6 times now and we always love it. First a sit-down dinner with mashed potatoes and veggies, then on sandwiches or on a salad. my kids like to shred it, add bbq sauce and put on a bun. The almost 6 pound chicken I took out at 3pm yesterday is almost gone:)

Mandarin Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2011
Subbed pineapples for the mandarins and used the pineapple juice for the apple juice. That's what I had on hand but it was wonderful. Added carrot slices and baked in the oven. We will definitely make again, I loved it. The green onions are a must have and next time I think I will add some bok choy.

Sausage Casserole II

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2011
This was really good and very satisfying. I will definitely make it again. I had to use creamed corn (it was all I had) chili ready tomatoes(again all I had) and used Hilshire beef smoked sausage-sliced. Added some chopped red pepper(didn't want it to go bad). Cooked with foil for about an hr and then without for about an hour to make sure the potatoes were tender. Very good.

Cherry Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2011
This was a bit too sweet and rich for our taste and if you are going to make it I would suggest using your own fruit as the cherry pie filling makes this really really too sweet.

Best-Ever Cornbread-Sausage Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2011
It was good but I forgot the eggs so it looked soupy and I put it in the oven with the turkey and dried it out too much. All my fault and with the eggs, this would have been perfect. Still very very tasty.

Really good flavor and used up the rest of my turkey. Very enjoyable. Will probably make again if I have leftover roast chicken during the year.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Very good and satisfying. Used Mom's simple dumplings on this site since I didn't want to use refrigerator biscuits. Added a little fresh rosemary and it was yummy comfort food on a cold fall evening. Will make again!

Mom's Simple Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2011
Used these in the Slow Cooker chicken and dumplings, I didn't want to use refrig biscuits. Added a little chopped fresh rosemary and made small balls which I elongated so they looked like little footballs. I think next time I will leave out the rosemary but these were very easy and good!

Slow Cooker Carnitas

This is my go to carnitas recipe and everyone loves it. I just realized when my boyfriend's mom asked me for the recipe that I had never saved, rated, or reviewed it. Awesome recipe. definitely double the rub except the cinnamon and don't skip putting them in the oven after they are done! Thanks for this great recipe I will be making for the rest of my life!

Belle and Chron's Spinach and Mushroom Quiche

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2011
This is a great recipe. I did cook the spinach and mushrooms in some of the bacon grease and made my crust with fresh rosemary. I think I will cook longer at a lower temp next time. It didn't set up at 400 for 35min and i put it back in at 350 for about 15 minutes. Will make again with more bacon. yum!

Pastry for Single-Crust Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2011
Made this tonight for Belle and Chron's Spinach and mushroom quiche from this site. Added some rosemary. It was very good but I like a crust with butter so will probably use a different recipe next time.
