Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2012
Great recipe. Added a little more cinnamon and used regular white bread - turned out fantastic. Will be my go-to French toast recipe from now on.

Grandma's Chicken Chardon

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2012
This was good but I feel like the proportions of the recipe were a little off. I halved the recipe and I still needed more egg and had way too much crumb mixture. I would have halved the bread crumbs and parm again. The recipe is a yummy start - especially the mushrooms, they were fantastic. Next time I will add lots more garlic and maybe some cayenne to give it some zing. I will definitely back off on the butter and use chicken broth instead. The lemony flavor of the mushrooms was great!

Basic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2012
Be sure to add the milk a little at a time to get your desired consistency. If I would have added it all, they would have been way too thin. Just a matter of preference I suppose. Otherwise they were pretty tasty.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2011
This was fantastic! I followed the recipe exactly (okay I added garlic but I do that to almost everything!) and it was so good. Lots of flavor and very tender (even cooked on LOW for 4 hours). I will definitely be making this again and I won't change a thing!

Pesto Pasta with Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2011
Very good. Made as is and was just a bit dry. Added some of the pasta water as suggested and that helped.

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: May 16, 2011
I guess my expectations were too high after reading all of the 5-star reviews. I thought it was just okay. The oregano was a little overpowering for my taste. I did think the chicken was very juicy though.

Chicken Milano

Reviewed: May 13, 2011
Very good! Made it just as written except I cut the chicken into tenders and seasoned them with garlic and onion powder as well as salt and pepper. The whole family thought it was great. Will definitely make this again.

General Tsao's Chicken II

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2011
This was fantastic! I will definitely make this again. I am glad I got the ingredients ready as other posters suggested as the sauce comes together rather quickly. I rated this 4 stars but I wish I could give it 4 and a half. It was great but it was a little too sweet for me. Next time I will reduce the sugar. Overall a terrific dish and well worth the effort!

Basil Pesto Bread Rounds

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2011
Delicious! This recipe was exactly what I was hoping it would be! I followed the recipe for the topping - didn't change a thing and it was so yummy. For the bread I took a loaf of French bread and cut it in half lengthwise. I broiled that for 5 minutes so it was just a little toasted. Then I spread the topping on top and broiled it again until it was nice and bubbly. I let it cool for a few minutes and then cut it into slices. Perfect! Will definitely be making this again.

Famous Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2011
Very tasty! The family really liked them. Here's what I did, I used boneless chops and added a little parmesan to the coating. I only used 2 eggs and that was still too much. I baked them for 20 mins and then uncovered them, turned them over and baked them for another 20 mins. They were nice and crispy on the top but mushy on the bottom. I will definitely make them again and when I do I will use less butter. Still a great recipe just needs a little tweaking to get them crispy all over. Thanks Haulbur!

Chicken and Biscuit Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2011
The whole family loved this! That is a rarity for us. I didn't have everything on hand so I subbed frozen mixed veggies-carrots,green beans, corn, peas- and used 1 can of broth, 1/2 cup white wine, 1 1/2 cups half and half for the liquid and added 2 tsp of chicken bullion granules. So good! Will definitely be making this again.

Homemade Crispy Seasoned French Fries

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
My family and I loved these fries. They were nice and crisy on the outside and tender on the inside. I did have to add about twice as much water. I also used fresh ground sea salt to the batter and a little on top as I took them out of the pan. Yummy! Will definitely use this recipe again.
