About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Bread and Pies. Is there anything else?
My cooking triumphs
Prepared Thanksgiving dinner for my hubbys family. It was the first time I did an entire Thanksgiving meal without help. Used several recipes from this site and the entire meal was perfect!
My cooking tragedies
Attempted "Bananas Foster" almost caught the house on fire. Nuff said.

Exquisite Pizza Sauce
This sauce is the best pizza sauce I have ever tasted. I used it with Jay's Pizza dough recipe. I did add 1 t of cumin seed, subbed garlic salt for the fresh garlic and left out the anchovy paste. Next time I'm going to use anise or fennel seed in place of the cumin. Didn't need all of it so I used the leftover as a dip for breadsticks..yummy. My husband does not want another "frozen or restaurant" pizza again. Our daughters loved it too! Thanks Angie!

Jalapeno Hummus
This is an awesome recipe. Since I didn't have tahini, I used toasted sesame seeds..(which is what tahini is made from) and it worked fine..I have a VitaMix, so the sesame seeds were completely ground up. Also adding a few slices of Red Bell Pepper gives it a nice color.
