About this Cook
I'm 23 and I've been cooking since I was really little (4-5 yrs) with my grandma. I now am the cook in the family (my husband does help out and is a good cook in his own right) but I do most of the cooking. My specialties are Italian (mostly pasta) and baking. I especially like the house empty, stove to myself and bake/cook all day, stress just melts away.
My cooking triumphs
The best was the day that I created my garlic chicken butter. Best pasta I've ever made and the best recipe I've ever created. :)
My cooking tragedies
The worst was when I was baking for the first time on my own (12-13 yrs old) and I put 1/2 cup of salt instead of 1/2 cup of sugar in the cake recipe I was making. In my defense the sugar and salt were above & below each other! lol I have never done that I again thank goodness.

The Best Oatmeal Cookies
We loved these cookies! These definitely beat store bought oatmeal cookies x 10! :) I sent a tin of these with a family friend out to the oil rigs and he says that they were the best he has ever had, he has put in a request for me to make them again for him to take to his next project. My husband however said that I should replace the raisins I added in place of the pecans with chocolate chips so next time for just him I'll split the dough in two, one for chips one for raisins.

Buttery Soft Pretzels
I followed this recipe exact and I found the dough a little tough to work with. The flavor was really good but I think the next time I make this I'll play with the dough a little more to make it more workable.

Keftedes - Greek Meatballs
These were ok. Next time I make these I'm going to cut back on the mint as it was overpowering and add about 1 tablespoon crushed garlic to add to make these less bland.
