Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2011
I didn't know what I was making for dinner last night. I typed in what ingreditents I had & some I didn't and this is one of the recipe Allrecipes matched to my ingredients on hand. So, Shepherd's Pie is was! I was not dissapointed. Very simple supper, entire meal in one dish, good flavor. Only modifications I made were to add a can of sweet peas on top of the layer of carrots and season each layer. That's it. I'll keep this on hand for a quick, simple, basic supper. Thanks for sharing.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2010
Only change I made was to use a butter cake mix instead of a yellow cake mix because that's what I had in the pantry. They turned out very moist and the cookie dough in the middle is a yummy surprise. Thanks for sharing.

Apple Breakfast Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2010
I've never had apple bread before. I had a few apples that needed to be used so I searched for an apple recipe that only needed 2-3 apples. I told my sister-in-law about this bread and she said she remembered her grandmother making this when she was little. This is very simple to throw together & I was pleasantly surprised with the result. The only problem is that the outer edges finished cooking before the center had cooked through. By the time the center was cooked through the edges were dry. Nothing a glass of cold milk can't fix :) Thanks for sharing.

Yellow Squash Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2010
I made this for our weekly family supper with my in-laws the other night and everyone is still talking about it. The only change I made was to saute bacon while sauteing the squash with the onion & I added garlic powder when I added the salt & pepper. We grow yellow squash in our garden and have an abumdance every summer. My mother-in-law & sister-in-law have both requested the recipe. This will definately be one recipe that will now be a staple for us southerners. Thank you so much for sharing.

Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2007
This is sooo easy & good! I threw this together using leftover turkey and had it ready to simmer in a matter of minutes & had all the ingredients on hand. My family prefers flour tortillas so I crisped them up in hot oil and crumbled them in the soup. This will stay in my Monday soup rotation for sure. Thanks for sharing a quick & easy soup.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2005
I made this last night for my family, leaving out the beer and adding swiss cheese before toasting the bread. It was pretty good, however, it could have used a little more flavor. I think I'll play around with the flavors a little more next time. Thanks for sharing:)

This potato salad was okay. Not great, but not bad. I can't quite put my finger on what it was we didn't like. We ate it that night but I don't intend to make it again.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2005
This cookie was just okay. One star because the batter was yummy, one star because the texture was good and one star because it was moist. But there just wasn't much flavor.
