Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2005
I've made this 3 times now, and each time its mushy and not fully cooked. What am I doing wrong? I've extended the cooking time so much its spent half the morning in the oven.

Slow Cooker Lemon Garlic Chicken II

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2005
The chicken was very dry ( I did not cook the full time, either) and the taste was nothing that would lead me to make it again. My kids who eat everything, would not eat it.

RamJam Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2003
I really don't care for chicken, but this was good. Would be very good at a casual get together because you could eat it off the stick !

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2002
I loved these cookies. I made them with and without nuts. Only problem I had was that 10 minutes did not seem to be long enough to cook; they were still half raw. After 3 batches my conclusion is that 13 minutes is perfect!

Asian Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2006
A good twist on a salad. I don't care for cabbage but this is a good way to "disguise" it for me. Warning- NOT a good leftover!

Cheesy Chicken-and-Pasta Bake

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2003
Very plain and kind of tasteless. I even added a few extras and it did not help.

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Reviewed: May 24, 2003
I seem to be in the minority here, but I found this to be not worth the effort. It was very dry and the cheese and ham could not even be tasted. The bread crumbs did not seem to serve any purpose either. Did I do something wrong?

Baked Linguine with Meat Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2002
My mom did not care for this at all, but I thought it was okay. I think it really needs more noodles though, because I felt like I was eating meat sauce with a side of noodles, instead of the other way around.

Quick and Almost-Professional Buttercream Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2011
I have made this several times and I've been happy. Yesterday hubby bought margarine instead of butter so I had to go with it. Runny goopy mess! *You must use butter on this* or it will separate and if you put it on cake/cupcakes it will just run off.

Donut Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2011
WHAT am I doing wrong. I have made this four times, recipe followed to a "t", and every time the muffins are hard as a rock, and do not rise at all. So I have a bunch of teeny little "muffins" that are like hockey pucks. I really want to like this because its great for school parties, and lots of other stuff. I'm going to continue reading the reviews to see if I can get insight.

Slow Cooker Split Pea Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2006
After cooking on high for 5 hours, the peas were still hard, so it was a water and dried split pea soup. I left it on high for the rest of the night and went back to put it away 4 hours later, and it was cooked all the way. Now i put it on in the morning and its perfect by the time we get home.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2002
Dumplings were slimmy blobs that never did cook after after an hour. Did I miss something? Will not make it again, what a mess!

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2002
We love stroganoff in our house, and this is the only way it will be made from now on. It was SOO tasty, and I loved the fact that I didn't have to slice and cook thin steak. The only problem I had was the cream cheese did not seem to disolve properly. Next time I might try the trusty sour cream instead.

Awesome Honey Pecan Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2002
This was WAY too sweet. I was only able to take a couple bites before I could not take it anymore. My husband did enjoy it, but I would not make again because I could not handle the sweetness.

Honey Baked Chicken II

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2010
Not sure why there is so much butter in this dish, because really it just sat in a ton of butter and cooked. I would like to try it again but with MUCH less butter and honey so the curry can stand out a little more.

Lemon Horseradish New Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2007
Potatoes were still hard after one hour of cooking. If I try it again, I will absolutely boil them first before baking them.
