This was incredible! I switched out about 3/4 cup of white flour for whole wheat with wonderful results! I also rolled the gnocchi down the tines of a fork, mostly for the "gnocchi effect." It was a little time consuming, but hey, what the heck! My hubby loved it because, unlike most red sauces, there are no onions in the recipe. I have already shared this recipe with friends and will surely make again! Oh, and serve with a salad. It lightens the dish and is refreshing between the bites of spicy gnocchi goodness.
