About this Cook
The science of cooking has been an ongoing interest of mine since I was a young woman. I love to take the ingredients I have "on hand" and create delicious, healthy EATS and TREATS. Cooking for my hubby and six children on a budget has given me welcomed experience in dietary limitations and using my garden full of Super Foods. I believe that food can be either HEALING or DECAYING. I reap great Joy in helping people "HEAL" with my food offerings.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy taking "whatever is in the pantry" and making something amazingly healthy and delicious.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Bakery yummies such as Cinnamon Rolls, Yeast breads, Pies, and pastries are my specialty. Understanding how to use spices and condiments to enhance food to tickle the tongue and delight the tummy bring me great Joy.
My cooking triumphs
Writing a personalized family cookbook in 2001 for my six children and twelve grandchildren to pass down to my posterity. I am currently working on a revised edition that alters each of the recipes to hightened the health value and includes more of the SUPER FOODS.
My cooking tragedies
Burning toast. But, of course toast isn't the only burned cooking project. The worst burned food experience, though, was Swiss Cheese thawing in the microwave. Yuck!! don't think I'll ever do that again.

Grilled Salmon With Orange Glaze
I made this for company and they raved over it. I didn't have orange marmalade so substituted orange juice concentrate sweetened with equal amont of honey. Turned out stellar!
