Sweet Fried Summer Squash

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2011
Was a nice sweet complement to a hearty meal. I had to double the recipe and it still wasn't enough to satisfy everyone!

Creamy Split Pea Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2012
Amazing recipe! Everyone I made it for fell in love. It is now in our family meal rotation. The only change I made was reserving some of the ham for after the blending is done so that there are some ham chunks in the soup. One of the best soups I've ever had.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2011
This is a great starting recipe but I found that it didn't have enough meat or potatoes for my family's liking. Next time I am plan to use two more potatoes, a half pound more of meat, and add mushrooms and peas.

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2012
The family is raving. They loved the dish. I did change a few things and that is why I gave it the 4 star rating. I went with some of the other reviews and dipped the roll in egg before the breadcrumbs. I also added a pad of butter on top of each roll. Then I also added a cream sauce. What I did a little differently was that I doubled the cheese and ham, didn't put any cheese on top, seasoned the chicken after rolling with sea salt and lemon pepper. It turned out beautifully and there isn't any left, which is always a good sign. Served with garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, and stuffing.

Excellent start to a wonderful meal! I ended up adding garlic to the cheese mixture and more sauce and chesse to the top. It turned out beautifully and was a huge hit with the family!

Chinese Egg Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2012
This is definitely a good starter but I, like others, prefer a different egg to broth ratio. I actually used 1 egg for every two cups of broth and might put even more in next time. I also was not a fan of the peas so next time I won't put those in. Also, I would whisk the eggs before putting them in the broth, to combine the yoke and the egg white.
