Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

A hearty quick and easy soup to serve during cold weather. I cook the vegetables/ham in 1 qt of chicken broth and omit the boullion and use 6 TBS butter and flour instead of 5.

Kung Wow Chicken

Great! I added an extra 1/2 chicken, doubled both the marinade and cooking sauce, and added carrots to the vegetables, and added baby corn, and water chestnuts the same time I added the cooking sauce. it was yummy. Would probably cut the chili paste back a bit next time.

Rhubarb Strawberry Crunch

I made this super easy dessert last week and it was scrumptious! I cut the recipe: strawberries, rhubarb and cornstarch and water by 1/3, the white sugar and topping ingredients by 1/2. I baked it in a 9x11" pan. It was more than enough for 6 people when served with vanilla ice cream.

Asian Chicken Salad

This is delicious! I made it according to the recipe but with the modifications: I omitted the chicken and added toasted almond slivers and canned mandarin orange slices. I added the sesame seeds to the dressing I also used commercial toasted/baked rice noodles and 50/50 baby spinach and salad greens in lieu of iceberg lettuce and making my own noodles. Grilled Five Spice Chicken

I made this yesterday and it turned out great! I omitted the fish sauce from both the marinade and finishing sauce. While I love fish and seafood, the combination with chicken just did not sound appealing. Also, I did not care for the finishing sauce. The chicken was tasty w/o it. I also threw some mesquite chips on top of the briquets for a little smoke. Make sure you use indirect heat otherwise you risk burning it.
