About this Cook
I am a 'waste not want not' cook. Therefore, I try to use leftovers in a creative and appetizing and often unexpected way. Almost always end up with a unique, delicious but unfortunately non-duplicating dish.
My favorite things to cook
I am very eclectic and it depends on the day, the weather, what's on sale, the mood I'm in.
My favorite family cooking traditions
No particular traditions
My cooking triumphs
A cake made up spur of the moment and totally out out of my imagination which was so delicious someone said eating it was better than S#X!!!
My cooking tragedies
A coffee rubbed steak or chicken. Anyway, it was something with coffee grinds that didn't pass muster at all.

Pepperoncini Beef
Made this a couple weeks ago. DELICIOUS! So simple; I couldn't believe it would be so tasty but it was. It's also quite rich especially with addition of cheese. I made a sandwich on a kaiser roll for my husband and he had a hard time finishing it. So perhaps a half sandwich with a nice salad would be better for those watching calories or with smaller appetites. P.S. Use a well marbled cut of meat--not tenderloin or anything lean. You need the fat (marbling) to create flavor.
