Taco Bake

Reviewed: May 20, 2011
It was easy to change this up so I could use what I had in the cupboard. Used one 8 ounce can tomato sauce and 1 can rotel. Did not have any taco seasoning so I just seasoned my meat with garlic powder and pepper. Still came out delicious and I think having the diced tomato in it was better then without

Strawberry Cobbler I

Reviewed: May 17, 2011
Next time (there will be a next time) I will add another cup or more of strawberries, double the cobbler topping but not add more water. Pretty liquidy as is. The topping was hardly enough to cover the strawberries in the baking dish. But it was reallllly good!

Apple Breakfast Bread

Reviewed: May 11, 2011
I made this when some family came to visit and we snacked on it all day. Very yummy! I think if I make it again I will try everybody else's idea of half brown and half white sugar. And maybe more cinnamon. Some walnuts too :)

Zucchini Raspberry Cupcakes

Reviewed: May 6, 2011
The batter was pretty dry and as soon as I folded in the raspberries they smooshed and broke up :( Still, they were good, and with some whipped cream on top, the kids unknowingly had zucchini for dessert!

Caramel Frosting V

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2011
This was delicious but I have to take off a star because I followed the recipe exactly and never really got it much to a whipped consistency, it was pretty thin and glazey.

Ham and Cheese Pasta Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2011
This was good and easy to throw together. I did not cook the pasta before I baked it and it turned out fine, just mixed it a couple times part way through cooking.

We just didn't like this too much. It did kind of taste like sweet potatoes.

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2011
This was a great cake! Followed some suggestions to use 1/2 cup applesauce in place of some of the oil, just because it sounded like it would add some extra flavor! I loved the wonderful frosting too!

Mrs. Strong's Casserole

Used rotini because I didn't have egg noodles and it came out good. My boys loved it and had seconds. I would make this again!

Mozzarella Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2011
After I cooked the chicken in the oil and before I threw in the onions and mushrooms, I drained out most of the oil left in the frying pan, except for the drippings and a tiny bit of oil. The directions didn't say whether to do that or not, but I didn't want oily sauce. It worked out great. This is a really good recipe! Served with mashed potatoes. Yummmm

Homemade Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2011
Added garlic powder, sour cream (in place of 1/2 cup of the milk), and chopped smoked sausage. Husband said this is the best mac and cheese he has ever had. Good recipe and easy to play around with!

Delicious Chicken Casserole

used one can of cream of broccoli and one cream of chicken after reading other reviews. Also sprinkled cheddar cheese over it 5 min before it was done. Good, but too soupy maybe.

So delicious! Even my picky eaters are eating this one! Like others said though, 1 hour 15 min is a bit too long. I should have taken it out after an hour.

Fabulous Football Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2011
I am re-reviewing this because I have made this several times now and it is like the BEST SAUSAGE DIP EVER! Everybody we make it for loves it. I always top it with shredded cheddar cheese. We love it with tortilla chips but pita bread is great with it as well. I prefer to use the spicy jimmy dean sausage but sometimes I have made it with the regular so the little kids can eat it. This is one of my all time favorite recipes from the website!
