Creamy Hot Chocolate

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2007
Very good. I put it all together the night before then put it in a crockpot for my daughter's class. Simmered all day and was ready and creamy for the party. I used water, next time will probably use milk. Thanks. UPDATE: Used 1/2 skim milk and 1/2 water - just delicious. Recommend the substitute.

Excellent and easy. Reduced water in half as suggested and used Splenda sugar and brown sugar - couldn't tell. Great recipe.

London Broil II

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2007
Very good flavor. I ended up having it marinate for over 2 days due to scheduling issue and it was a little salty. I would suggest definitely low sodium soy sauce. But the meat was very tender.

Roasted Red Potato Salad

Reviewed: May 27, 2007
Very very good - just make sure you cook the potatoes longer. I am not sure how long I ended up cooking them but it still wasn't enough. The flavor was excellent and it was easy to make

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

Reviewed: May 27, 2007
Very good. I used the Scooby Doo Graham cracker "dog bones" and Nilla wafers. Make sure you put your cookies around the ball or people just won't know what to do with the ball.

Mary's Roasted Red Pepper Dip

Reviewed: May 27, 2007
It was ok. Might make again but there are other dips that I like to make and get a better response from than this. High calories for not so much a return!

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: May 27, 2007
Excellent. Tastes just like a good popper. I used a 4 oz can of jalapenos removed most of the seeds and chopped it up. I tried the oven but it was taking too long so I ended up sticking it in the microwave and it was great. The only thing bad about this is the fat content and the fact you could eat the whole thing yourself!! Thanks for a great recipe.

Hot Pizza Dip

The plate was cleared in record time. Served with Fritos and Club cracker sticks. Really good. Thanks. Oh and I used the Italian seasoning as well as suggested - easier and tasted great.

Baked Potato Casserole

Great because you can make ahead. I thought they were a little bland but everybody else liked them. I added a little chives. They are nice and light - make you forget you are eating a high calorie food.

Easy and excellent. Made the night before and it was really good - and I don't even like bean salads.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2007
I don't know what was wrong with mine compared to others but this was basically the only appetizer left on the table new years eve. The cinnamon pitas were good but too mujch work. Probably will not make again.

Cheese Ring

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2007
Everybody liked this - I thought is was ok. I usually make another similiar recipe which uses 1 C mayo, 1 C scallions, and 1 Cup Cheddar baked in bread bowl until warm and bubbly. I think I will stick with that one - but if you make this one make sure you use the preserves. It would not be the same without it.

Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2007
Followed as written except cut the cool whip part down to 8 oz. Lots of oohs and ahhs, very easy. One recommendation - make sure you stir the cool whip before layering it so it spreads easier.

Simple and easy. I followed others and put the crab on top of the sauce but think next time I will try to mix the cream cheese and crab together.

Rib Eye Steaks with a Soy and Ginger Marinade

Excellent. Bought a boneless Rib Eye roast and cut in to nice thick steaks. Only marinated for a couple of hours and they were delicious. Will try longer next time but would repeat again just the same way. Thanks
