Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2014
This marinade is fantastic!! I used it on chicken breasts a few times and used it for pork chops for the first time last night and yum!!!! Can't wait to try it out on a nice pork tenderloin. The possibilities are really endless. Don't limit yourself to just using it for the kabobs.

Pasta Fazul

Reviewed: May 7, 2014
I followed the recipe and had zero sauce and too many beans. If I make this again I will use two cans of diced tomatoes and one can of beans. The flavors were all there for this to be great just needs a little help.

Chicken and Pineapple

Reviewed: May 7, 2014
This was very good, simple and easy. The only thing I will add next time is a little cayenne or red pepper flake to give it a little heat and balance the sweetness of the pineapple. Great week night meal!

Pancake Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2014
While I may not be the first to make this I am very happy to be the first to review it. As with any recipe I make for the first time I try to follow the directions as written and I'm glad I did. This was fantastic! The cake came out wonderful, very moist and flavorful. The bacon and cheese topping really accentuated the dish perfectly. I baked this in a glass dish so I cut the temp to 325 and it ended up taking about 28 minutes to cook. I highly recommend using real maple syrup not the cheap stuff as it really added a sweet flavor without over powering the dish. We made this for dinner and I can't wait to make it again for a family brunch! Thank you for the recipe!!!

Amatriciana

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2014
I didn't change any ingredients for this recipe, only the quantities. I diced a whole pound of bacon and cooked it first. Once done I removed it from the pan and drained on a paper towel. I left whatever drippings were left in the pan and sauteed the onion and garlic in it until the onion was soft and translucent. I then added two 28oz (or whatever the large cans are) of stewed tomatoes. I left the sauce on medium heat and started the water for the pasta at this point. I left the sauce go the total time it took the water to boil and the pasta to cook, approx. 20 minutes. Once pasta was done and drained I added the bacon back to the sauce as well as dried basil and parsley (didn't have fresh). I then used a potato masher to break up the tomato and combine the ingredients. I added the pasta to the sauce and about 1/4 parmesan and let it simmer on low for about 5 minutes. It definitely made plenty of food but heated up great for leftovers.

Mississippi Six

Made this exactly as written, didn't find the beef or the recipe all that horribly salty, guess it's just our taste, we like salty foods. Made this as an appetizer for Easter and my in-laws raved about it, they couldn't stop eating it. Will be keeping this recipe handy for a long while!

Kristen's Parmesan Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2013
Awesome! We added a tablespoon of crushed garlic per our preference but still would have been great without it. Cut the potatoes into about 1/8 in slices instead of chunks to help cook more evenly. Very flavorful and went very well with our chicken dish (Chicken Crunch from this website if you are looking). Didn't have thyme so just used and italian seasoning blend instead. Will definitely be making this on again!

Chicken Crunch

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2013
This was absolutely fantastic! Used cornbread stuffing and added about a teaspoon of garlic salt, 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper and 1/2 teaspoon of Italian seasoning to it. Also added about 2 teaspoons of garlic powder to the flour, but this was just to our taste. Chicken was very tender and juicy and the flavor was fantastic! Spiced up the gravy with a little cajun seasoning and italian seasoning as well. We did this all for our taste, this recipe doesn't need to be messed with, or can be adjusted to suit you. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Salsa Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2013
Like others suggested I marinated the chicken in the taco seasoning for a few hours before baking. I followed the recipe exact except I did not measure the salsa and cheese. I spooned the salsa over the chicken and made sure they were covered and sprinkled the cheese in the same fashion. It came out awesome. The only thing I may try next time is to add a tablespoon or two of lime juice to the marinade, other than that I wouldn't change a thing!

Chicken and Stuffing Skillet

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2013
This was a very good, easy weeknight recipe. Only things we did different was used cream of chicken soup since my wife hates mushrooms and we added a little garlic, salt and pepper to the chicken while cooking. Will definitely be making this again.

Texas Caviar with Avocado

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2013
Followed the recipe exactly as written for a potluck at work. I made everything the night before then added the avocado when I got to work just before serving. It was a major hit! I'll be making this for a long time to come.

Bourbon-Mango Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2013
This was excellent! I used Garland Jack's BBQ Sauce, it has replaced Sweet Baby Rays as my favorite. Depending on the sauce you use the flavors for this dish can widely vary. I loved the sauce so much I have halved the recipe and used it for BBQ chicken, pork chops and anywhere else it can be used.
