simple, made with ingredients I always have on hand, quick, tender and delicious. What more could you possibly ask for? My grill is out of commission so I broiled the steaks, and they turned out fantastic!

Try this only if you like an herbal flavor to your chops. They turned out tender, but my family did not care for the flavor at all. I would not recommend you try this on children.

"brownies" is something of a misnomer, but this dish is a keeper!! Just the thing to serve with coffee when a friend pops in.

Fiesta Dressing

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2005
Of all the allrecipes.com recipes I have used this is by far my favorite!! Easy, quick, inexpensive, versitil (I'm a better cook than speller, obviously). We use fiesta dressing on most everything, except ice cream. Ok, maybe that's taking it a bit far. But seriously, we put it on baked chicken and fish, tacos, chips, raw veggies, steamed broccoli, even use it as a sandwich spread. And if you are watching your carbs, it has very few! Rotel makes a variety of diced chili and tomato flavors (Italian, Mexican, etc) to extend your choices even more! You really must try this!!

Passover is coming soon, so "Kugel for 60, coming right up!" This is the best kugel recipe I have found. It is sweeter than most I have tasted. My kids want the leftovers for breakfast.

What a great way to impress people! Baklava sounds so exotic, but was easy to prepare and tastes great! Recipe is a bit time consuming, so it's for special occasions only.

Pumpkin Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2005
What do you do when you are saddled with dozens of jars of homecanned pumpkin (thanks, Mom!) and trying to watch your carbs? Try one really bizarre recipe! This one earns 5 stars for creativity. I didn't make it exactly as printed, so I can't testify accurately for the taste. However the idea alone was worthwhile. I left out onion and peppers (not my family's favorites) and substituted envelopes of chicken chili dry mix for the seasoning. It was VERY good. We will be eatting lots of this chili this winter!

Ramen Noodle Frittata

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2003
WINNER!! I was looking for super quick, super easy, and this is it! Four ingredients that are always on hand in my kitchen, 20 minutes and it's on the table. Nothing fancy, but darned good eatting, and kids love it! Extra bonus - this is one of those recipes that you can improvise easily. I added some frozen vegs. to noodles, sauted onion and bell pepper in the butter, throw in some chopped cooked chicken breast or ham if it's handy. Thank you, Judy, for this recipe!

This is a 5 star recipe, not because it is fancy and impressive, but because it is a tasty, kid-pleasing, quick lunch with only 4 ingredients, all of which are probably on-hand.

Pumpkin Cake III

Nothing fancy, just a simple, quick, delicious cake. I didn't want to make icing, so I topped this cake with peanut butter chips as it came out of the oven, then sprinkled with powdered sugar. The kids loved it! Also a great cake with coffee. Think I'll go make another right now.
