Classic Thanksgiving Dressing With Parsley, Sage and Thyme

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2012
This recipe is near perfect for dressing! Mushrooms and a couple cloves of garlic are the only additions/changes I make to the vegetables.

Sweet and Savory Kale

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2012
Good, but too sweet. Next time will leave out the sugar and add chopped kalamata olives to make it a bit more savory. We also added some leftover cooked rice to soak up the extra juice. This made a great side dish.

Asian Coleslaw

Reviewed: May 10, 2009
Since it is just two of us, I cut the dressing in half, added the scallions and cilantro to the dressing and used most with bagged broccoli slaw. The remaining dressing was used as a sauce for pot stickers - amazingly good!

Roast Chicken with Potato, Olives and Greek Seasoning

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2006
We were in the mood for a recipe like this but with tomatoes, so we added a 15 oz can of crushed fire roasted tomatoes. Had some green beans in the fridge so we threw them in half way through the cooking time. This was so good! Squeezed the lemons from the chicken cavity into the potato mixture for an extra lemony zip.

Rice & Beans (Haitian Style)

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2006
Used a 15 oz can of drained & rinsed kidney beans and reduced the amount of water to 1 1/2 cups and it was perfect! Used an African adobo spice mix which contains a bit more heat. Served with a roasted beer can jerk chicken.

Topless Blueberry Pie

There is too much cornstarch in this recipe. Yes it holds together well, but all I could taste was the cornstarch.

Bob's Stuffed Banana Peppers

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2003
Made this with both sweet and hot banana peppers and found that the hot peppers added more flavor. Could be from my love of all things hot & spicy. Used a jerky gun to stuff the peppers which worked quite well. Great recipe!

Chicken Shawarma

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2003
What a wonderful blend of flavors. The tahini sauce enhances the chicken quite well. We're going to grill the chicken thighs the next time we make this. Thanks for the great recipe Wendy!
