Cabbage Fat-Burning Soup

This made a lot of soup, I ended up using 2 seperate pots and added one can of pinto beans to one pot and one can of chick peas (garbanzo beans) to the other. The chick peas are really the right consistancy for this soup. I added lots of additional seasonings, garlic, italian seasoning, salt, pepper, Tony Cachere's, etc. And it was still a bit bland, so next time I will try adding some jalapeno or pepper flakes. Overall, the soup is pretty good and if it serves it's purpose, well worth the effort. I will definately half the recipe next time.

These were the worst thing ever produced out of my oven. They were more like hard clay hockey pucks. Followed directions exactly, didn't over work the dough, still came out pale and hard as a rock on the outside and doughy on inside. Will never make again.

Chicken Fried Chicken

This was so good. I hate thick flour batter on chicken and this was so much better. Thick, crispy and yummy. I cut my chicken into strips and dredged the chicken in flour before the egg. I didn't have potatoe flakes, but it still tasted great.

Chocolate Pudding Cake II

I think this cake was just okay. I expected it to taste a little bitter, since it did use unsweetened cocoa. But I have to agree, this cake does taste a lot like microwave cake. I have made microwave cake in a mug more than a few times to curb a chocolate craving, it's not bad. But it's not something I can eat a lot of at one time, so this cake was just a little too much of this kinda cake for me. Although I do have to say the one difference is that the bottem stays liquid like enough to make a sauce to even out the texture of the cake. And being that you can make this cake with very few pantry ingredients is also a plus. I would say though, this is not a cake I would serve to guest...

Chocolate Eclair Dessert

This did taste just like an eclair. A lot of people didn't like the frosting... my opinion is the frosting taste just like the icing on an eclair. I did follow the advice of some of the other reviewers, I heated about 3/4 of the frosting in the microwave before spreading on. And although I personally would probably like the chocolate sauce other reviewers had mentioned more than the frosting... the frosting really makes it taste like a real eclair. All in all... this was a very yummy dessert, very easy and I was surprised that it comes out of the pan in layers, rather than pudding. I will probably make this for the next family get together.

Homemade Crispy Seasoned French Fries

These were awesome!! I cut up 4 large potatoes, which is what we had, with a mandolin into julienne cut fries. Made the batter and was so thinking this would not work... the 1/2 cup water was way too little and I ended up adding more like a cup or cup and a 1/2 until it was thin enough to drizzle. I put that into a large bowl and just imersed as many fries as I could, coating them all really well. Then just picked up a fry, shook off the excess and plopped it into the hot oil. As soon as my boyfriend tasted one he wanted more. He ended up throwing more than one fry in at a time and they do clump up pretty bad, they are easier to seperate if they cook a bit first. But honestly, the clumped up fries were the best, lol.
