Egg Salad I

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
Fantastic flavor in this recipe. I prefer more crunch so I added a little celery and spicy dill pickle and used less onion. Thanks for sharing

Garlic Croutons

Simple and delicious. Great way to dress up your soups and salads. I add dried herbs to mine depending on what I am serving them on.

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2010
Great recipe, I made it like the recipe except I had no bacon and just used leftover ham instead. Also I carefully scooped out the potatoes and made potato skins as an appetizer to go along with it. Yummy comfort food!

Apple Butter I

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2010
This turned out beautifully. I did however take the advice of a few of the reviewers and substitute brown sugar, decreasing the amount. I made a batch on the stove and the crock pot. Both turned out great, I used a blender to get a perfect consistency and canned all of it. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Awesome Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2007
This recipe has potential, but I don't understand why it has such a high rating. It is way too oily and rather bland for carrot cake. I would prefer not to modify it and will keep looking for a better recipe.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: May 23, 2004
Good flavor, obviously easy. I would double the sauce so it serves better with noodles. I have also made this with cream of chicken soup, when I was out of mushroom and it tasted just as good.

Upside Down Pumpkin Cake

Reviewed: May 23, 2004
Almost too sweet, very rich-but good. Easy to prepare. I served for friends who loved it, but the leftovers I threw out the next day. Best to serve warm and fresh.

Quick Black Forest Cake

Reviewed: May 23, 2004
I poked holes in the top of the cake before I poured the glaze on. Best if served warm. Great for chocolate lovers.

Pasta Carbonara I

Reviewed: May 23, 2004
This is a fool-proof restaurant quality dish, add shrimp or chicken and you have a meal. Great carbonara flavor! Very heavy, not for everyday.

Tiramisu Cheesecake

Reviewed: May 23, 2004
This was a huge waste of ingredients, time and $$. Tiramisu flavor was not evident. Cooking time was not adequate and my cheesecake was runny in the center (I even cooked it longer than recipe called for).

Peppermint Stick Dessert

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2004
I was disappointed in this recipe. I am a huge fan of gooey sweet desserts and there was just very little flavor to this. I used green/red candy canes and the colors ran together to make it kindy of a muddy color. I won't try it again.

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2004
This was an excellent recipe. I made the scones plain, I only sprinkled with sugar. I presented these in gift baskets with jam for Christmas. I had many compliments and requests for this recipe. I will definitely make again!

Caramel Filled Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2003
These have a great flavor when warm. I used rollo candy. It really is a lot of trouble! I took them to a party and everyone raved about them, which they should have because I worked for hours making them.

Golden Rum Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2003
This is a wonderful recipe. I have made this several times and modified the recipe to suit my taste. Once I used coconut extract and shredded coconut in the cake and extract again in the glaze. I have used a butter recipe cake mix instead of yellow too. Both good. Thanks for the recipe.

Spinach and Strawberry Salad

Excellent!!! I am trying to watch my sugar and fat, so I reduced the oil (alot) and used Splenda instead of sugar. It did not compromise the taste. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Vegetable Pizza I

I loved this dish! I would halve the packet of seasoning though. I served it for the main dish at a luncheon. The tomatoes were wonderful, but did make it soggy.
