Cooking is something I've always loved to do. I like trying new recipes and developing my own. I love to share what I know about cooking. I cook just about everything, from American to Middle Eastern to Asian. I also love baking. My inspiration comes from my background. I am Palestinian American. My hubby is Bulgarian and Turkish. I am around all kinds of different flavors. I love to mix them all up to create different crazy stuff!
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook ethnic dishes. These include Arabian, Indian, Turkish, Mexican, Chinese and many more. I also love American food. I like baking as well. My favorite desserts to bake are American. Cookies, cakes, and brownies are my specialties.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom taught me basic Palestinian cooking. I incorporate her teachings to my everyday cooking, and develop new methods.
My cooking triumphs
Everyone loves my hummus and baba ghanoush.
My cooking tragedies
We've all burned something, added too many spices, or forgot the salt. I have many cooking tragedies as do most people. My favorite one was when I tried to make protein bars. They were expensive to make, and tasted horrible! Blah!
