Nana's Southern Pickled Peaches

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2012
SIMPLY AMAZING FLAVOR! I USED APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, 3 C SUGAR,5 LBS PEACHES, 2 CINNAMON STICKS EACH & ADDED THE CLOVES ALONG WITH PEACHES. I STILL NEEDED MAYBE 1/2 LB MORE OF PEACHES AND HAD TO ADD A LITTLE H20 TO ONE JAR. THE 4 LBS ONLY YIELDED 3 FULL QUART JARS BUT I WANTED MORE PEACHES PER JAR. THANKS FOR SHARING. DELISH!

Garlic and Herb Lamb

Reviewed: Feb. 29, 2012
I must admit I was a little hesitant to try this since its such an expensive cut of meat and my hubby claims he hates rosemay but I'm glad I did! The aroma created such high expectations when the family walked in and it did not disappoint! My leg was only 2.5 lbs so I changed the serving size to 4 to get the right spice amounts. After the rub, I let it sit at room temp 30 min as suggested by another lamb recipe. I ended up adding a little extra minced garlic onto the top. Like others, I browned it for 15 min at 450 first then turned it down to 325 per my package directions. I then added yukon gold potatoes, quartered, and baby carrots coated with safflower oil, garlic powder, salt and crushed rosemary, similiar to the roasted potato recipe on this site. I removed the lamb at 150 and tented it while the veggies finished cooking. My entire family loved it and said its another favorite!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2012
Was a hit on Superbowl Sunday! Not a drop left! Followed as directed accept used chicken broth instead of beer and added green onions along with the other fixins! Was great to make the day before .Hint: shred the chicken before you fridge it for much better results and just reheat and serve!!

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2011
Sorry folks, but this dish was extremely bland. I even made several changes based upon the reviews. My other 3 family members feel the same, in fact, we could only take a few bites. Everything else I've tried on this site has been simply amazing. Guess we're big flavor buffs!

Asian Roll Lettuce Wrap

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
SIMPLY AMAZING!! Definitely a FAVE to SAVE!! Few changes though! I browned the gr turkey along with next 3 items but a little extra soy and double ginger and salt to taste;garlic the same. Used romaine and ate taco style. Veggies: chopped orange/yellow pepper, green onions, cukes, carrots & celery. Topped with a good helping of Mae Ploy sweet chilli sauce and few drops of Sriracha hot chile sauce. YUM!! What an array of colors and a big hit at get togethers!! Diced chicken is also great!!
